I was thinking of a conscientious way to protest singing the songs. You could make the argument that you like to give your best to Jehovah and that the new songs are of poor musicianship and quality. As a result it offends your conscience to to sing inferior praises to Jehovah.

I've quoted and posted from this survey in the past, as have others, but I noticed some posters were unfamiliar with this. So I wanted to post a link, but also post some of findings related to Jehovah's Witnesses. For this survey, over 35,000 Americans were interviewed. Here's a link if you wish to read the report in its entirety. Following, I'll post some of things we might find interesting here on JWN. The way I posted the data points is taking into considertion other religous affilations such as Catholics, Evangelical Churches, Mainline Churches, Historically Black Churches, Orthodox, Muslim, Jewish, and Mormon faiths. I didn't mention the statistic showing 2/3 of born-ins leave JWs as thats common knowledge. When I posted these statistics, I wasn't looking to paint JWs in a negative or positive light. This is strictly for information purposes. I found much of it interesting, and understandable.

If you had the power, would you erase humans from existence?
by sabastious inif you could, would you make it so humans never existed?
because of all the pain and suffering humans have endured for millenia and, in turn, erasing all the glee and bliss experienced as well.. -sab.

Depends on what day you ask me. Some days man I feel like if I had the power I would eradicate the human race. Just obliterate mankind. I've said it before, but somedays I feel like 1 out of every three people you walk by is a scumbag. That might be the JW upbringing rearing its ugly head in me. I can't always tell. There was a Transformers storyline called All Hail Megatron. The first handful of issues into the story showed the Decepticons slaughtering major cities. It was truly beautiful. Somebody finally wrote Megatron the way he should have been written. a genius mastermind. Some days I wish I had that kind of power, but also Megatron's conscience. I wish I could turn off my emotions like a light switch and just clean house. At the end of the day though ,who am I? There's plenty of good people in this world doing good on behalf of all of us. Plenty of people with golden hearts. I think we forget that too many times because negativity tends to be sexier than the positive.

I was expecting to get to the very end of this article and find out it was written by SD-7. So there is some legitimacy to this article? Crazy. In all my life I've never known the WT to donate anything. Everything and anything not WT related is part of Satan's world. So what gives in this case?

Strange enough, no one mentiond this so far :
Mystic River
I forgot about that flick. Another movie where I hated the ending. You know by the end of that film, I hated Sean Penn's wife. That flick really had a twisted ending. The Woodsman with Kevin Bacon is a similar film. Its messed up too.

I'm loving how the general consensus on the new song book is that it sucks. Hilarious. You don't have to be an apostate posting on here to recognize how sucky the new songs are either. "It should be possible for us to memorize the lyrics" SMH. They're getting more and more delusional up there. When will they ever learn, you can't regiment faith.

Something that bugs me is how they've lost their way in regards to spiritual food. Being fair, some of the articles they publish I like and can agree with in respects to moral related matters. To me, that is spiritual food at the proper time. What bothers me is that they spend a significant portion of space in their articles reminding you of their authority. Its as if they lack confidence in themselves, or have serious self esteem issues. They remind me of my dad. Anymore I hate calling my dad, or him calling me. The reason being is that all he wants to talk about is how messed up the world is. He got mad at me a month or so ago because of what I stated was his reason for always speaking negatively. I told him, "you're trying to convince yourself the world is messed up, and the end has to be near. Thats fine so long as you don't try to convince me cuz I'm sick of hearing all that negativity." He was furious because I pulled his card, and he knew I had him. Its the same way with WT literature in regards to this Faithful and Discreet Slave teaching. They're trying to convince themselves it exlusively applies to them, and trying to convince their readers too. Me personally, I feel that your activity should speak for itself. Barry Sanders didn't have to argue that he's one of the greatest running backs of all time. His stats made the argument for his being in the Hall of Fame. The same should be with the WTS or any other Christian group that touts itself as a slave or steward. I get sick of hearing them pat themselves on the back every article.
