Your guilty pleasures...
by MrFreeze inwhen you were a witness, or if you still are, what types of movies/games/tv shows/books/other activities did you enjoy that the society might not find too appropriate for jdubs.
for me here's a list of things i enjoyed that wouldn't have made the friends too pleased but that i rather enjoyed.. movies: all the best movies are rated r. whether it be language, violence, or sex.
you'd be hard pressed to find a movie made in the last 20 years that is really good that isn't rated r. some movies i enjoyed that the friends wouldn't have wanted me to be seeing: the matrix, godfather, godfather 2, goodfellas, american history x, office space, the pianist, shawshank redemption, the shining.

True Crime for me. I've always been fascinated with prison gangs, street gangs, organized crime, drug lords, etc.. Something about the criminal underworld captivates me. Fighting is another thing. I like Boxing, MMA. I'm not a big fan of cardio, I prefer to hit the weights, but to make up for the cardio I hit the punching bag. In another world, I would have been a prize fighter. I love the sport that much. At the same time I have to be honest though, violence really isnt something that Christians should be involved in. Not to sound cliche', but Jesus wouldn't be in the Octogon, nor would he watch it. Peter on the other hand.................

Mr.Flipper what you posted was Truth.com. I'm not the biggest fan of Kobe as a person, although I have to admit he's matured in the past few years as a person. He's getting better. As a player, he's in the top 5 greatest ever without a doubt. Ron Ron tonight is tooooooo real. He's a bonafide nut. There is no denying he's certifiably nuts. I love him for being that way. Who would though 5 years ago or so, that Ron Artest would get a ring?!?!?!?!? I'm happy for Gasol, Odom, and everybody. If Boston would have won, I wouldnt have been mad though. I love their team too. Rondo had a coming out party this playoffs. I smell a contract renegotiation coming soon for him!!

September 15th Watchtower is making me feel literally ill
by sd-7 in...i can't believe how loaded it is with all manner of arrogance, organizational chest-thumping/idolatry, and i still haven't gotten to the last article yet!
i know...i shouldn't be reading it.
i just...need to know what's going on so i can at least know what's going into my family's heads.

It pretty much was the same as all the other nonsense they've printed before about them being the chosen ones. However, I agree that lately they've been reminding their flock more than ever that they're the slave feeding them at the proper time. It reminds me of Hallmark's version of Merlin. At the end, evil Queen Mab's demise was due to Merlin turning his back on her and stating that everyone will forget about her in due time. Everyone did, while she yelled out to everyone to not forget about her. Eventually she just slowly faded away and disappeared as a result. She became nothing. That's the GB's biggest fear, that people will continue to forget about them. Articles like this woke me up a little over a year ago. It dawned on me in the middle of the WT study, that what we were reviewing was damage control. Hopefully more people wake up and recognize this nonsense for what it is.

I've been working in an office enviroment for the past 5 years, and I can only think of one situation where a married man is fooling around with someone not his wife. Correction, at least two women on the side he's had fun with. We call this guy "the Devil". He's gotta way about him. Put it this way, if he showed up looking for your daughter, you'd hurt him. As far as this article and others like it, me thinks the Writing Department gets their view of proffesional workplace behavior from Aaron Spelling's tv shows like Melrose Place. Think Heather Locklear as a supervisor telling some young stud to "get in my office right now!" If only office behavior was like that
