A Question About "Insecure" People
by minimus ini want to tell you what truly irritates me.
when i see a person come off as being extremely confident and punky, and someone else will say, "he/she is like that because they are really insecure".....yeah, right!.
if someone projects an image of supreme confidence, always tells everyone else why they're supremely right, and puts down others and always exalts themselves, would you believe that their behavior is because of their being "insecure"??

I think when people are relaxed about their masculinity or feminity they usually come across as less superior and dominating making their company prefable.

one wonders if they deliberately ignore the facts and continue to control and dictate their way of thinking onto the rf jw's while they know this is not as true a religion as they make it to be..

Sorry for your loss.
I have noticed their is a lot of phychology involved with recruiting and keeping people in once recruited. I remember my first meeting and the love bombing . I now recognise all the manipuation that went in to my recruitment and as the saying goes with friends like that who needs enemys.
I was trying to understand the behaviour of the elder(Who telephoned you). I remember at a service meeting once the congregation was encouraged to place the "What happens when you die" booklet to people mourning loved ones at graveyards. The elder who phoned you in my mind saw this terrible event as an opportunity to reach you at your lowest ebb. The fact that he never rang you back to apologise is something he will only confront should he leave the organisation for consciouse reasons.

he is serving on a board to help fundraise for his synagogue, and i met many people there, including a lesbian sitting on the board.. gay people in a religion?

Death ... friend or enemy?

what incentive would there be to stay busy, set goals, desire a mate and children, or care for others who would never be in harms way?
why would we do anything today if we always had a tomorrow?could it be that death is natures prod and a necessary motivator of life and should be thus celebrated?.

My thoughts are life is so uncertain the only time a person can possibly say they had a wonderful life is when they are dead.
As to if death is an enemy that can be defeated I have know idea.

this above phrase was recently said to me by a dub, when i told them that i didn't attend any more and that i felt much better for it.
" i asked " did i have so much agony with low self esteam, self hatred and no confidence while in a religon that is supposed to have gods blessing, and yet when i leave it all those problems dissapear?".

Black and White Thinking: the ENEMY of Intelligent Thought
by Terry insomething is true if it matches reality.. a true statement cannot contradict reality.. but, the mind can interpret anything into its opposite.
all it takes is black and white thinking and a belief things should be otherwise.. if jeffrey dahmer's mother thought he was a good son, then, he could not possibly be the guy who is eating people.. if o.j.simpson was a fine, upstanding fella with a great personality, then, he couldn't possibly have brutally murdered two people with a large serrated knife.
a ton of proof means nothing when belief is everything.. black and white thinking won't permit any facts to slip by the core belief and become refuted.. are you guilty of black and white thinking?.

There was a recent post and video about the Worldwide Church Of God.It was very interesting how recently their leadership has willingly tested its teachings realised it was based on false premises and corrected it.
I think the greatest problem is not the living a lie. Jehovers Witnesses need not accept the lie. It is enough for them to have accepted their life with it and in it. For this is the reason some witnesses will never change "The main pillar of their life is the life within the lie"

I think if this site is moniterd it would also have false posters. Why?
Because if this site is moniterd they know their are many on this site(Elders ect) who need to be outed from the society.
I noticed a recent post was started. Whilst the post may have been genuine I noticed it obtained a lot of useful information for any moderating the site.

Sadly I think in many societies controlled by the media a battle is being waged over the humun spirit. Man must be made to understand for then he will accept. Who are the enemies of these societies? The people who do not understand. They fail to think in Black and White : the Enemy of those that govern.
People who follow the system feel it is absurd to think differently from the collective.If what the doctrine proclaims is as true as the fact that 2x2 equals 4 to tolerate the opinion that 2x2 equals 5 would be indecent.
