Did you have a relationship with...

when you were in the org, did you ever really have a relationship with jehovah?

if so, how did this relationship manifest itself?

was it just a warm fuzzy feeling when you prayed?

Sadly I got "lucky" and after my baptisam I had 3 seperate studys comming to the meetings.

I assumed this was Jehover blessing me. (Ie a personal relationship with Jehover)...It was simply on the ministry I found people who were interested in things we had in common.(Ie we listernd to music or watched films when i had a bible study, and they came to the meetings out of friendship)

The good thing is iam still friends with my friends. Many so called" brothers "drew a line on my friendship when i left.

Acolytes.(who doesnt have a personal friendship with Jehover anymore)

a former guitarist with my favourite band lynyrd skynyrd.. he was touring with his new band.

i was amazed an ex-skynyrd guitarist could play to an empty house.. am i living in the past or do skynyrd still rock..

What does rednecks mean?

Are Blackfoot rednecks? What about "The Outlaws"......These are great bands who had members join Skynyrd.

Wnen I spoke with Mike Estes he mentiond that Ricky Medlocke (The Skynyrd guitarist was a "Redneck"... ) didnt understand what he meant .

I didnt suggest your wife come on an apostate site to read this. I suggested in fairness you print out this post and let her read the thread.

I did not suggest you go to the elders to talk about your marriage.( Its your marriage ie both of yours) not the elders or mine or anybody elses.

I think this is something you should work out between yourself.

Honest hearted music ......I can go right back to the 70s with this band when (Ronnie on lead vocals) blew the Rolling Stones away.This was at Knebsworth.... Skynyrd were the supporting act.(Those Skynyrd boys were yelled to come back and back, it was darkness before the stones got on stage)

I just got Got and Guns with (Jonny on vocals) still rocking despite so many departed.

I have yelled and scremed at my wife. If my wife recorded it and showed it to my parents/or hers they iam sure would say "Hey I remember how we yelled at you, and you at us. Your daddy and I we still yell at each other"

Continuity of the Bible - Start to Finish

i was asked in a previous topic whether i thought the bible had continuity in its thought/teaching from start to finish, from old to new testament.

you can argue from specific passages taken apart and out of context that the bible contradicts itself, but, all in all, there is one message-that of love, a father's love.

the bible is the story of a father who creates a family (beginning with adam and eve), but they break their bond with him.

Ray Franz Was Wrong

god rest his soul.

although i never met him personally, he and i did correspond a number of times, and i have numerous friends who have not only met him, but stayed several days with he and cynthia at their home.

if nothing else, ray was kind, non-judging, and generous.

I think the phase "Victims of victims" makes blame and accountability meaningless.

I think many Jehovers Witnesses live within a lie. They need not accept the lie It is enough for them to have accepted life within the lie. For by this fact, individuals confirm the system,fulfill the system,make the system and are the system.

To fogive or judge individuals is not my place, but I do judge and condem the governing body and many who support that lie. I do not judge or condem most witnesses because many are very decent people, whos thinking is simply wrong.
