It's not just Jehovah's Witnesses the Independent Fundamental Baptists are equally bad about trying to prove that they have the right theology, they right Bible (KJV), and the right view about the world. Michelle mentions the Catholic church and how they may have had the right theology given to them. IFB's largely view them as idolators (worshippers of Mary) and the Catholic church itself is largely regarded as modern day Babylon. Of course, that is how all religions are viewed by the witnesses.

Brother Hero at my wife's congregation would never go for this. He tried in vain to explain why a witnesses refusal of blood at the cost of their life is not the same as martyrdom. He failed miserably.

for years i have been told different scenarios from different christian groups about who the antichrist will be.

some born agains have told me that the antichrist will be satan the devil stripped of all his powers and trapped in a human body on earth.

he will still have the same attitude and try to get people to worship him instead of jehovah and jesus.

My IFB preachers taught that the AC was a man who will be empowered by Satan and will bring about world peace for 42 months or times time and a half (3 and 1/2 years). This, of course, happens after the rapture of the church and during the 7 year tribulation period (basically the plot in the Left Behind movies).
