Great work, Blondie.
This makes me wonder if, in addition to under-the-radar blood therapies, they're worried about JWs and MLM marketing schemes for vitamins and "natural" medicines. There always seemed a predisposition among JWs to get into that stuff. Of course, if you believe Witness doctrine, you'll believe pretty much any sales pitch!
This also ticked me off big time, as my mother is aging and struggling with health problems. I know that the number of aged and infirm who are not turning in time and who are "taking meetings" by phone is rising, and I'm sure it rankles the GB and BOE.
But what really bothers me is the lack of compassion for people who devoted their lives and all their resources to the organization, are now facing illness and death, and are not getting the "well done, faithful servant; let me comfort you" that they deserve---at the very least! My mother was promised that she'd never grow old and die, and they make it sound like it's her fault for being faithful to the FDS. ARRGH!
