i just watched a youtube discussion between marc & cora and unwitness.

it was regarding their unhappiness over a few prominent individuals in the ex jw community, one individual in particular.

this individual who on the one hand produces excellent videos highlighting wt issues, yet has been known to peeve a lot of ex jw activists off.

I just watched a YouTube discussion between Marc & Cora and unwitness. It was regarding their unhappiness over a few prominent individuals in the ex jw community, one individual in particular. This individual who on the one hand produces excellent videos highlighting WT issues, yet has been known to peeve a lot of ex jw activists off. Marc, Cora and unwitness seem very genuine in their discussion about this, but leaves me wondering why someone who produces excellent videos etc is displaying such an attitude toward other activists. Note: I watch this individuals videos all the time. It just leaves me with the question why?? I do hope that if this appears to be the case that he changes his ways and attitude toward other activists and simply agree to disagree and move on.

Ideas for letter to Dr about blood card blackmail and what it means?

following on from another op who brought to our attention the new draconian blood card policy .i'm planning on visiting my dr to discuss this issue in advance.

i'm planning on telling her how jw's and possibly me will be blackmailed into signing this but really won't want the hlc involved and may want blood if needed.. i'm thinking about writing a letter that could be kept on file for future reference outling these issues, what do you think i should say in it?

Excellent Conversation At Literature Trolley

yesterday my wife and i enjoyed one of our regular days out at edinburgh - movie, lunch, walk, meal etc.. in the late afternoon while mrs cofty went shopping i had an hour at the excellent museum of scotland and arranged to meet up outside the national gallery on princes street.

on my way back i saw the jw trolley was at the usual spot on the royal mile.

there was an older man and a young woman standing well back trying hard to look inconspicuous.

Hi Cofty, sound like you had a respectable conversation with this guy. If its the John I know who is in my cong and who often does the metro work, he is a genuine nice man. It was good that he had an ' agree to disagree attitude'. For eg, I beleive in creation, BUT like John am willing to listen peoples view respectfully. I would love to have your boldness Cofty.

Hey Blondie and purr purr. thanks for some useful tips. For some time now, I was considering typing up my own blood card for myself and my child. something along the lines of ' ONLY USE BLOOD IF MY LIFE IS UNDER SERIOUS THREAT' , otherwise avoid the use of blood. Once I have it written up, I will sit down and explain to my wife, who I know will respect my wishes.

Awww, you "love and miss us"? Really? Then why ignore us?

so we received the obligatory "shoved under the door" memorial invitation and "return to jehovah" brochure the other week.

it also had a hand written note from two elders saying "we love and miss you" etc.... so why then when one of them saw us at the grocery store, did he pretend to not see us and then ignore and quickly walk away?.

the sincerity is wonderful..... dont get me wrong, we dont want any attention from them, but it's an interesting observation anyway.....

the 7 dudes in brooklynn are to blame for that contradiction. Their policy on shunning flies completely in the face of showing love!!!!!! Their policy reminds me of a school kid picking petals of a flower....love you, love you not, love you love you not........
