Hi D&R, I feel the pain. It's sad that we cannot be open at the KH. Everyone is afraid to say something out of turn. In my case, I really like the people at my hall bar one or two. The elders are nothing but errand boys for the GB who have to follow rule upon rule. I have my suspicions that there are a number of awake individuals in my hall judging by the odd comment they have said. It's incredible that a small group of men in NY can have such control over people all over the world!

Alone
by Deleteandrestart insince i woke up one year ago , i've been doing a somewhat controlled fade , the experience i've had has been a very solitary one , i don't mean by not seeing anyone i know because i know hundreds in several congregations and i was an elder .
but just coming to terms with the fact that this was no longer the solution to life's problems, that i'd wasted so much time, that as i sat in the kh and heard everyone comment, my heart was no longer in it , i no longer fitted in ..... i felt that they were in the congregation all under the spell or some form of hypnosis from the wtbts,.
it was like for the first time in my experience at the kh , that i was the only one to see what was actually going on , the indoctrination, the guilt tripping, i could see it all as clear as day , and yet i had as it where a metal gag over my mouth, i couldn't speak to anyone about it for fear of them turning me into the spiritual police.

by cofty inevery cell in your body contains a big book of how to build another you.. although it's approximately 3 billion letters long only a small fraction of it contains instructions on making humans.. imagine trying to use a workshop manual but it reads like somebody messed up at the publishers.
there are a few paragraphs of meaningful text followed by pages of gibberish, another page or so of useful instructions then 9 more of random words.
some of it looks like copies of original text but full of typing errors.

If we evolved...why oh why are humans the only species who stand out in regards to intelligence. Why do all animals apart from humans act on instinct. I don't doubt that some animals are mixed breeds such as dogs, but humans evolving from an amoeba......really!!! Genesis chapter 1 explains how everything was created ACCORDING to its kind. Simple yet remarkably accurate based on everything we see around us. -

Today the two elders did not appear to declare at prosecutor's citation
by opusdei1972 intoday the two elders who stalked my sister were absent at the prosecutor's citation.
they were waited for 1 hour, but they did not come.
this attitude favors their culpability.

I went to see my Dr about the blood card issue
by purrpurr ini booked a double appointment so that she wouldn't be rushed.
i explained that i'd been brought up in the jw's and woken up to what a load of shite it was.
i explained that they have changed the blood card and that the elders in the cong are being told to effectively force people into signing it.

purrpurr....you will notice that the document appears to give an option re sharing your med info with ie emergency contacts below... AND/OR with member(s) of the hospital liaison committee. So a person could play dumb and simply cross that bit out re hlc. Also according to the nhs advance health care directive.....it states that an individual should not be influenced when making a decision about treatments they wish to avoid. WT is most definately influencing every baptiszed witness to avoid blood treatment. -

Given that it is highly likely that things are going to change in relation to Watchtowers policy on safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults in Australia (re Australian Royal commission), and England and Wales (re charity commission). Could this be the start to reforming the Watchtower organisation. Albeit, they are being FORCED to change their safeguarding policy by the laws of the land, but it may set a precedent. Using the laws of the land could also help bring about needed change in regards to choices in medical care; for example not allowing religious bodies interfere in matters such as the blood issue; but rather leaving it to individual conscience/choice without fear of punishment. The shunning policy could also be tackled using the laws of the land, using legislation such as the human rights act etc; To have the freedom to change your religion or to simply have the freedom to 'officially' resign from a religious organisation/body without the extreme punishment of being shunned by family and friends. The ball is now most definately rolling. The Governing Body and their legal team need to go with it and bring about reform; otherwise they most certainly WILL continue to publically undergo more embarrassment of having to make the necessary changes! -

Oh btw, like crazy guy said, for many, it has become more of a social thing than a religion thing for both of us. She is very popular among the sisters and has a very large circle of friends.
