VI, Kaik, Dunedin and TR. The experiences and points you made are really interesting. The point about older kindlier more compassionate elders having to make way for younger company men who follow the Talmud to the letter. Also TR, the point you made about the weak being hounded out was really interesting. I personally experienced this in my old hall. Having tried to make the effort to return after a long fade, the elders purposely avoided me, not allowing me to answer or go out in field service for over a year. It was plainly obvious my face no longer fitted in that hall and they wanted me out. It was a very unloving hall led by a control freak. This clearly is a tactic some elder bodies use to squeeze out the ones they simply don't like; to keep their precious clique like halls Talmudically perfectly clean.

How would you/did you categorize the elders in YOUR hall!
by Truthexplorer ini would consider some of the elders in my hall genuine shepherds ( though g men) there are a couple others i would consider robotic/wooden (boring) but ok. then of course there is the complete knob (pharisee wannabe) who grinds my wife and i's gears.
every hall seems to have one!!!

Just found out their about to baptise my 14 year old boy.
by Crazyguy inthere doing this right under my nose but i just found out.
not sure what to do but would like your help on getting me wt information on my headship role and how they shouldn't be doing this with out my permission.
also would like some help on showing my son the ramifications on what happens to someone when they get baptized and how they'll expect him to treat me.

Speak to him and also the elders and explain that as a parent, you would prefer he was of a mature age before making such a huge commitment. -

Hi Tenacious, Bro Perimeno helped me when I just about gave up the ghost as it were. After a long fade I tried to return only to be met with uncaring shepherds. His advice was to move to a loving hall. I did and it was like night and day. -

Paranoia after today's Watchtower

not only are we to watch our associations outside of the congregation, but also watch our associations 'within' the congregation.
this was emphasised by the wt study conductor.

It's funny how easily we can be manipulated. As we were going through the WT, I was thinking/focusing on the ones who would be viewed as weak or, the ones who may have said something in the past that sounded slightly out. I also felt uncomfortable knowing full well how some view me personally. Also vice versa how I see them knowing full well how easily such ones would coldly cut you off in the blink of an eye if it came to it. The writers of that WT study did not write a balanced view of bad associtions. They continue to fan the flames of paranoia all round. For me, it was really uncomfortable reading...period! as the Americans say. -

My First Birthday.....
by The Marvster ini awoken today and realised immidiately i'm 44 today... and after 3 years of being out, decided to acknowledge my birthday.... i'm off out to treat myself to a big hearty breakfast with cup of tea in the local weatherspoon's by the massive pond full of weird bird-life, later today i'm giving myself a gift of a 90 minute relaxation session in a float tank down by canary wharf in london.... only really have 2 close friends (it's a slow process trusting people agian) and they probably won't be able to see me today, but i'm sure i'll have a belated surprise from them both.... the first thing i did when i remembered was to rush to the computer, connect to the web and put on stevie wonder's 'happy birthday', as i listen to it, tears stream down my face... all those years of my life stolen ' but..... i'm free....'.
