Having researched the subject of the trinity and giving an educated answer in a nutshell. The whole trinity thing is a bunch of Babylonish man made nonsense!

Another trinity thing
by Mozzie ini have gone through the ones on here, i have read so much about it and everyone seems to have a different idea as to what the creed actually came up with in the sense of explaining it, religious leaders from most denominations seem to try to explain it and are all different, it does your head in just trying to read half their stuff.
when i was going door to door, i knew how to argue against it, but now trying to learn about it.. i was reading an article of the net about this and how christ emptied himself of all deity and that, but with all the statements made and arguments to and for it, one question was brought up.
when jesus was asked by his disciples about the time of the end, jesus replied neither i nor the angels know the hour, only the father.

1. Concerns about the effects it would have on yours and your family's social life.
2. Fear of being shunned
3. The Stress it will cause
4. The thought of feeling isolated
5. You want to avoid rocking the boat for rest of family members
6. You need your faith (Christian) - but where do you go?
7. The worry of making a fool of yourself ie fade and then go back - perceived as fickle
8. The impact it would have on your family - arguments etc
9. Missing your friendships
10. Missing routine ......Note: I hated my life before being a witness, I smoked canibas, felt down alot of the time ( mild depression) and hung out with the wrong people. I am older and maturer now and jw standards are now ingrained ie I hate foul language etc, general bad behaviour etc. The routine helps me remain somewhat good I suppose.
These are the thoughts that run through my mind constantly. The only way I can think of making a clean break is if we as a family moved home to another area and just fade. That is the only solution I can think off.

Who is Your Mediator? ---- proof readers required
by jwfacts ina number of posters here have said that the watchtower doctrine that jesus is not our mediator is the one that they find most disturbing.
for this reason i have written a new article to post on my site.
the article is long, but i would appreciate if people could check it for doctrinal and historical accuaracy.

Great thread jwfacts. I first realised that Jesus (according to wt) is not our mediator when reading crisis of conscience in 2004. I was really shocked when it hit me. A couple of weeks ago during a public talk, as an exercise, I wanted to see how often Jesus was mentioned. Jehovah was mentioned dozens of times, the organisation was mentioned about 10 times, Jesus was mentioned once, though not his actual name, reference was made to him as the ransom. Jesus is continually Deemphasised.

what is incredible is the book cover.
the book was published in 1932 which would have been a little bit more eye catching back then.

Hey TD. To be honest Springmeirs book is quite fascinating as can't put it down. For example the most important word in freemasonry is Jehovah. Thanks for letting know about Art deco movement though.

Thanks Nathan Nate. I downloaded the PDF link you gave. The picture at the very end of the booklet is also a little bit crazy looking, ie the grim reaper standing behind Adam who appears to be bent over whilst working the soil. The artists in those days put so much thought into their work !!

Judge sanctions WTS - $4k per day penalty for not producing sex abuse documents
by Simon injudge sanctions jehovah's witnesses.
imposes $4000-a-day penalty for not producing documents in sex-abuse case.
by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.
