then why is the site called Jehovah witnesses if its just EX??
Way back when this site was started, it was a pro-Watchtower forum. Over the years that changed as forum members, including the site's sponsor (Simon), began having doubts about "The Truth" and left the WT. There are some active Jehovah's Witnesses here. Some are on their way out, some are staying in the organization for the sake of family unity, some are honestly examining the other side, and some are actively proselytizing. All who want to participate and are willing will follow its 11 rules of decorum can join, there is no membership test.
Please stay around. Despite the ruckus that occurs from time to time, you can learn much here with just a little effort.

Kourtney,
Welcome to this forum!
Please take a good look at the other posts. There are folks here who will be happy to help you study the Watchtower teachings, but it will be from a significantly different point of view. It will be worth your while to study the teachings of any religious group carefully, to see if they really are teachings from the Bible or man-made laws; to see if the congregations members usually "practice what they preach" or if they are hypocrites who say one thing, but behave differently.
I encourage you to keep an open mind and study both sides, not just what your recruiters tell you to study. It is too important a decision to make without being fully informed of all the issues and all the consequences that are involved.

very different from a "kingdom hall" - this catholic church is in an extremely modern, six-sided building.

Need help combatting disfellowshipping policy scripturally
by stuckinlimbo inhi i need some help to show that the scriptures used to uphold the disfellowshipping policy are actually only meant to apply to those that deny the christ blah blah.

Matthew 9:
[9] And when Jesus passed on from thence, he saw a man sitting in the custom house, named Matthew; and he said to him: Follow me. And he arose up and followed him. [10] And it came to pass as he was sitting at meat in the house, behold many publicans and sinners came, and sat down with Jesus and his disciples. [11] And the Pharisees seeing it, said to his disciples: Why does your master eat with publicans and sinners? [12] But Jesus hearing it, said: They that are in health need not a physician, but they that are ill. [13] Go then and learn what this means, I will have mercy and not sacrifice. For I am not come to call the just, but sinners.
Matthew 18:
[10] See that you despise not one of these little ones: for I say to you, that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. [11] For the Son of man has come to save that which was lost. [12] What think you? If a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them should go astray: does he not leave the ninety-nine in the mountains, and goes to seek that which has gone astray? [13] And if it so be that he find it: Amen I say to you, he rejoices more for that, than for the ninety-nine that went not astray. [14] Even so it is not the will of your Father, who is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

Just a simple question for him, can he point out the scripture that says it's OK to receive a transfusion of hemoglobin vs. a transfusion of a mature red blood cell.
And ask them where that hemoglobin and the other minor fractions come from, since they refuse to donate blood. Who knows, he may have some of my Type B "worldly" hemoglobin flowing through his veins!

Eventually even that bugged her conscience and we talked even less. Eventually what we had just faded, and we havent had a decent convo in months. She texted me about 2 weeks ago at 1 A.M. but we talked for about 5 minutes through text message and that was it.
Chalk that one up to learning experiences. If you cannot have a leisurely, innocent phone call from another state, how would you ever learn to interact with the female of the species? Try to imagine how being under that much control would affect your relationship if you were married. A spouse burdened with guilt from a third-party is not able to dedicate themself to strengthening the marital partnership. It would be like having the world's most meddlesome mother-in-law living in your house, 24 hours a day every day of the year, dictating everything you think, do and say.
And lest I forget, Welcome aboard!
