  The significance of Sparlock

  the watchtower has depicted sparlock as a commercial plastic toy to be thrown into the garbage with impunity.. i submit to you all that he is something far greater.

  sparlock represents all the hopes and dreams of jw children everywhere.

  he is the magic of childhood.

  Botch, you nailed it! The video is all about doing what makes Jahthe GB happy. Good children must not act like children.

  Did you notice this? It wasn't about good and bad. It wasn't about what makes mommy and daddy happy--they don't matter--only obeying the Watchtower is important!

  Wouldn't it be funny if the WTS decided to can the DVDs because of our exposure of Sparlock?

  They can't deny they made it--the DCMA "take-down" notices they sent to Amelia Ashton are a legal claim that they own the copyrights to the Sparlock videos. The Watchtower have admitted it: Sparlock is their baby!

  Getting it off my chest.

  hi all, i have been a "lurker" here for some time and feel like i want to share my experience in the hope that it relieves me of dark thoughts i can't shake.

  i was "brought into the truth" by a guy, he had to let me study with a girl of course but always had me ear marked to preach in bangladesh one day.

  fyi this is a guy who was disfellwoshipped many times and once shaved his head and sent it to bethel apparently it's something to do with some form of repentance in the bible or something?

  You summed up the Watchtower nicely yourself: "all I could think was the men who know the words but it's not in their hearts." I can think of no more succint way to describe what's wrong in that organization.

  Some observations on Animal Farm by George Orwell

  i recently finished reading animal farm, written by george orwell.

  as someone who has recently awoken to the truth about the truth, this book blew my mind.

  the parallels with the watchtower society are quite astounding.

  The pigs teach the animals relexive demonization of outsiders, just like The Truthvs. Worldly.

  I was so glad my kids were assigned to read Animal Farm for their English Lit classes! I hope they will soon realize what that story is about.
