Don't forget to say things like "Reproach on the Organization", "Stumbled", "Poor Witness", etc. Give them a well-earned dose of their own loaded language!

WTBTS publications exemplify what Pinytus criticized during the second century (according to Eusebius, Book IV, chapter 23--emphasis is mine):
"Pinytus, replying to this epistle, admires and commends Dionysius, but exhorts him in turn to impart some time more solid food, and to feed the people under him, when he wrote again, with more advanced teaching, that they might not be fed continually on these milky doctrines and imperceptibly grow old under a training calculated for children."

"Safeguard Your Mind" assembly targeting apostate thinking
by promised_presence ini recently attended the second day of the 2 day assembly for safeguarding your mind.
the first talk was entitled "feed your mind at jehovah's table".
the first portion of this talk specifically targeted apostates warning members to not listen to them "even if they were once strong in the truth or had great responsiblity in the congregation".

"... often bring out points that may be true, but are taken way out of context"
Rather like the way WTBTS uses the Bible in their publications!

Publisher's I D Card?....
by BluesBrother indoes anybody know if all "publishers" still carry one of these?.
sister blues came home from the ministry and was a little nonplussed because the c/o had said that publishers were not agents of the congregation.
they were just concerned neighbours visiting ........this was in the context of 'how to deal with 'no callers' signs' ...... no, i don't get it either, she has not been issued one of these since she moved to a new congregation and i said that this card would put a lie to that statement.

Did anybody else notice the space where the "presiding minister" is to sign the card? This is on an ID card issued by an organization that does not have an ordained clergy. Gotta love that cognitive dissonance!

What happens if the lights go out during a meeting?
by WTWizard inwe all know of those kingdumb hells that don't have windows.
and i never saw an a$$embly hell that had windows that would let light in that would reach the auditorium.
so, what do they do if the lights go out during the middle of a boasting session?.

They don't have emergency exit lighting? That seems odd for a "place of assembly".

Jehovah's Witnesses and their Charitable Donations...
by God_Delusion inwhy do jehovah's witnesses get so angry when you tell them that they never donate to charities other than their own pseudo-charity?.
read what happened this weekend when one of my friends brought this point up at the dinner table.. http://www.jehovahswitnessblog.com/jehovahs-witness-beliefs/do-jehovahs-witnesses-donate-to-charity/.
love,.

When we donate to a charity we don't know how the money is used
That is a broad assertion. It is not true for many charities, especially smaller and local ones. If I donate to the local Habitat for Humanity branch, that money stays here--it is used to build a lower-income house in our town. A donation to the local homeless shelter or food bank has visible, local results. These organizations have small staffs, mostly volunteer, and the few paid members are nowhere close to being 1%-ers.
Information on charities, their budgets, and their expenses literally at your fingertips.

by Theocratic Sedition inwtf!?!?

wow heads have got to roll!.

Yes, every week this goes on only makes the regular refs' bargaining position stronger. It's time for the league to cut their losses and make a deal.
