Hubby's going to the big meeting instead of celebrating our anniversary
by KariOtt inmy hubby just informed me that he wants to attend the "big" meeting saturday instead of celebrating our anniversary.
seems i was right when i accused him that the cult means more to him than i do.
asshole.

He is telling you how little you mean to him, whether he realizes it or not. I had a similar experience, spending our last two anniversaries alone while Ex went to week-night meetings.

Annual Meeting Instructions to MS / Elders
by jw07 inhave any elders or ministerial servants here recieved any specific instructions regarding the annual meeting?
as an ms all i have been told to do is to arrive early to "await further instruction due to the sensitive nature of my assignment".
ironically all i can imagine after hearing that a few times is dispensing cyanide laced kool aid to attendees.

You'll be issued disinfectant wipes for cleaning off the microphone, in case some evil apostate sticks a booger on it!

McDonnald [sic] bought Boeing

Other way around, actually. Boeing bought McDonnell-Douglas. It was a bad deal IMO, at least for commercial aircraft (military contracts may be the reason Boeing made that deal). The DC10/MD11 and DC9/MD80 were dated and uneconomical designs, and there were no viable replacements in the pipeline. I agree in part with your criticisms re. outsourcing, but there are good non-technical, non-financial reasons for doing it. Foreign content helps to close deals for foreign sales. All else being equal, a national (government controlled) airline is more likely to buy aircraft from a company would buys airplane parts from their factories than one that doesn't. If Airbus buys from them and Boeing doesn't, none of the order will be built in Everett--because Boeing isn't going to get the business. Since there are more international sales opportunities than domestic these days, Boeing really can't afford to not outsource work to qualified foreign suppliers.

who signed your blood card?
by losingit intwo elders in my congregation signed mine bc hubby couldn't bear the repercussions of either 1- saving my life by allowing the blood transfusion, which would probably lead to him being df'd, and 2- me dying bc he did not allow the blood transfusion and having my parents call him a murderer.. isn't that so nice?
when i most wanted him to represent me, he didn't have the guts, even hypothetically.... so, who signed your blood card?.

I know who signed my child's card, without my knowledge or consent. It was an elder from the ex's congregation, whose signature falsely claimed him to be a relative and legal guardian.
My blood card is from the blood bank, and yields six units every year!

Why don't they sell these? Think how much faster you could cover an under-served territory with this for a service car! And they come in the Theocratically Approved four-door body style.

I wonder if the dubs in the area still went to meeting during the worst of it.
Well, it's not like the Kingdom Hall would be too busy "feeding the hungry and sheltering the homeless". Unlike another church in town. (Matthew 25:35-40, John 13:35)

The reports are that some small towns in the high country may be cut off for another week or two before they can be reached other than by helicopter.
Small towns in the canyons (Jamestown, Pinewood Springs, the Cal-Wood education camp, etc.) are inaccessible by ground, and being evacuated by helicopter when weather allows flying. Rescue vehicles have made it through to larger towns above the canyons (Nederland, Allens Park, Estes Park, etc.) but the route is barely passable, and open for emergency use only. The following is from the Office of Emergency Management (route name redacted):
"There are still no east to west routes open from U.S. 36 (Foothills Highway) to State Highway 72 (Peak to Peak). XXXXX is barely passable for emergency vehicles and is NOT open to the public. It is currently the only way in and out of the Boulder foothills for emergency response vehicles equipped to traverse over extremely damaged roads.
For safety reasons as well as just sheer impassibility for personal vehicles, XXXXX is ONLY open to emergency vehicle access until further notice. Please get out the word to your friends and neighbors."
