Last Night's Intervention
by brotherdan ini'm afraid of starting a new post because i've stepped on a few feet here with my last post... but i still love you guys.. last night i went home to find my wife and her friend on the couch with the bible, ready to show me how i'm wrong and exercising "apostate thinking".
my wife said, "i am unable to fight you with the bible because you know more than me about it.
but k** knows more and will be able to show you how you are wrong.. so my wife went into the other room so as not to be stumbled by my discussion.

Brotherdan, you did just fine talking to Sister Pioneer. Keep up your studying, now they know about you and want to stumble you back into their grasp. I suspect you soon will encounter bigger guns, Elder guns. Remember that logic and sense aren't in their game plan. Let this thread to be your training camp for dealing with that! Prepare yourself, be strong, and don't let them intimidate you.

My first comment is that the quoted article's author and where it was published are not identified, making it impossible to investigate its credibility.
My second comment is that the article relies on unamed sources. There appear to be four persons cited as sources, only one is identified (Lee Waters; the radio show host is named but is not a source of information). Furthermore the actual contents of Water's alleged SRA files are not disclosed, only an undocumented summary of what remains hidden (if it exists at all).
My third comment on this article is that unsupported speculation about Watchtower links to the Illuminati, Freemasonry and SRA are not productive. There is enough information about their actual doctrines, practices and history, documented by the Watchtower's own publications. It isn't necessary to say things that belong in a National Treasures sequel, nor is it appropriate. If we don't appreciate the Watchtower saying absurd things about Christendom and Worldly people, we should offer them the same respect.
My final comment: this is a rare time when I might agree with Alice!

Auchwitz Video
by man in black inthis was on the news last night, it seems many people are having a hard time figuring out how to deal with it.. the man in the middle is a survivor of this camp, and he is surrounded by his children/grandschildren/great-grandchildren.
is this video an insult to the people who died at aushwitz, or a celebration that life went on for the survivors ??.
personally, i look at it 50 - 50, but a more time appropriate song might have been a more positive thing.

If anybody complaining about it survived a Nazi death camp, I'll listen to their complaints. To all others, I say that old man has earned the right--did you?

Whoa, I learned something from that article
any of the 357 conferences being held this summer ... offer the same teachings and the same Sunday afternoon drama, which is recorded in dozens of languages and then performed by local actors who rehearse their motions to match the recordings.
The "dramas" are lip synched? I didn't know that, maybe I did miss something by not going to assemblies with the Ex!

Did I take a nap and miss all the back-to-school sales?
Yes, the schedule is being pushed way, way early on the holiday shopping. Three months of Halloween candy displays, kiss the diet goodbye!

The Promised Land
by cameo-d inwhy do most people not get the real gist of the story?.
they never got to the promised land.. it was always just a carrot dangling on a stick.. wasn't moses supposed to be god's favorite?
didn't moses waste 40 years of his life and everyone else's stomping around in a desert on a speculation?

In Numbers 14, God condemned the Israelites to wander in the desert for fourty years, waiting for the unfaithful generation to pass away. It was not only Moses, but that entire generation who would pass away in the desert, so that none of that rebellious generation would enter the promised land. The fourty years was a punishment, but also a lenient one. God was ready to destroy all of Israel for the latest in their string of transgressions (Num 14:12), but Moses convinced God to reduce the sentence and allow Israel to survive (Num 14:13-19).
In Deuteronomy 34, Moses was the last of that generation still standing. He lived to see the promised land from afar, but not to cross the Jordan and enter it.
So the fourty years exile in the desert was not just punishment for the sins of Moses, but for the unfaithfulness of an entire generation.

Jehovah correcting the organization
by sabastious inread the account of moses taking the credit for the water provision miracle and that of king david's folly and his consequences.. ...read them.... ...you are still reading.... ...ok now you have that fresh in your mind.. jehovah had a correctional arrangement in place for all his spokesmen.
story of jonah would work great too.
the point being that in the bible god has always had this correctional arrangement for the leaders of his earthly organization.. that being said, where did that arrangement go?

I likely won't be here much longer either, because Alice's poison is not good for me. This board has helped me immensely up til now. But the spirit of it has changed because of her (and other's) influence.
Palm, I hope they don't drive you away. But if you have reached the limit of your endurance, I understand why you feel that way.
You contribute much to this group. Please remember we who appreciate you far outnumber the detractors.

According to what you said there are at least two crimes to be reported, a sexual assault (attempted rape) and attempted assault with deadly weapons. Call the police, anonymously if you must, before somebody gets killed over this.
