I definitely remember all the horror stories of Malawi. I just wish they had the Mexico stuff published in their literature as well My jw's won't look at anything if it's printed off, unless it comes from literature they recognize (i.e.- WT cd rom)

Malawi proof?
by AwSnap inhi, i remember reading crisis of conscience, and being really upset by that malawi cover-up situation.
is any of that in public record?
if i remember correctly, wasn't most of that information kept on the down-low?

Darn. Well, I believe it. But then again, I don't consider myself a jw anymore. Ok, thanks.

Hi, I remember reading Crisis of Conscience, and being really upset by that Malawi cover-up situation. Is any of that in public record? If I remember correctly, wasn't most of that information kept on the down-low? How would someone be able to show a jw that information without bringing up Ray's book?

Another Trinity Thread
by AwSnap incan you clarify something for me please?
the jw's teach that most (to them, that means all) religions teach the trinity as being that god almighty, jesus, and the holy spirit are literally one, meaning the exact same 'person', none higher than the other, inseparable, the exact same thing.
they mainly use catholics and baptists, in my experience.

There is a reason why the Society prohibited and then discourages higher education. They don't want you to get it. Mission accomplished. I've been faded for a very long time, but am surrounded by jw's. I will do my best to keep reading/understanding what everybody has to say.
I think I shall simply leave it as: "That is not what other religions teach. You lie. You are being mislead. NannynannyBooBOO." I was referring to what I'll tell the Witnesses, not you I find everyone's viewpoints interesting...I'm just having a very hard time comprehending.

I have never heard of a straw man argument. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_Man_argument Very good point. Well, I am sure the witnesses will look at information as long as it doesn't come from ex-witnesses.
