In order to learn ANYTHING, one must stop using and thinking churchese...
Dead means DEAD- not living in another form.
Resurrection means being brought back to life- not changing forms.
Destruction means being DESTROYED, not being preserved and eternally tortured....
i'm trying to fade away, but i sometimes find myself in discussions or arguments with jw family/friends/white haired virgin elders.
now, i usually have them beat on things but i'm not very experienced, so i was thinking if you guys could help me put together a list of completely unanswerable questions to pose to my jw friends/family/elders so they can stop bugging me.
if i keep asking them questions they simply cannot answer, then they might leave them alone.

So, the Bible does not use churchese; when it says someone died- they did. NO LONGER alive. No longer living. THUS the beauty of a future day when the dead will be.....you GUESSED it- resurrected.

Thinking about it last night, I've come to the conclusion that Jehovah wanted us to understand the sacrifice HE would be making- using Abraham as an example.
And FACE it, Abraham, while being distressed, was His FRIEND- and knew there was a VERY good reason he was being asked to do this...he had FAITH, far more than many of US!

they pick out disparate unrelated verses and combine them to support the wackiest of wacky doctrines.. on the other hand there are many scriptures they almost never address, whether because they contradict wt doctrine or because they simply don't have a clue what they mean or how to spin them to the wt advantage.. one of these is revelation 19:1 that mentions a "great crowd" "in heaven.

There are NO COMMAS in the Greek.
Thus, in view of the REST of the Bible, not to mention the REST of Jesus' teaching, the 'comma' should go after "today"- "Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in paradise!" Or, in today's lingo "I tell you here and now..." In other words a FIRM PROMISE.
Also, Jesus WASN'T in paradise that day- HE WAS DEAD, DEAD, DEAD...FOR 3 DAYS!
