the watchtower has been known for over 130 years as a great scriptural cherry-picker.

they pick out disparate unrelated verses and combine them to support the wackiest of wacky doctrines.. on the other hand there are many scriptures they almost never address, whether because they contradict wt doctrine or because they simply don't have a clue what they mean or how to spin them to the wt advantage.. one of these is revelation 19:1 that mentions a "great crowd" "in heaven.

" the only time it is ever brought up it is dismissed.

Yes, you are correct! However, Hebrews 11:1 adds that there is EVIDENCE of the unseen, and Romans 1 states-

20For since the creation of the world, God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

"The Dubs sometimes use 1Tim 6 as justification for judging people who don't agree with them. That's the only application of it I have seen. They would of course NEVER apply it to themselves"

"Mad JW- Are you familair with the scripture that says 'always learning, but never getting accurate knowledge'? The obvious answer to your question is answered by the fact that no other organization or school of theology recognizes the NWT as an accurate, scholarly, untampered interpretation. "

Mad: That is not true, but completely irrelevant; regardless of claims, the bottom line is the "proof in the pudding". I did not WANT to become a JW, and the NWT was something I attacked Viciuosly- always trying to find a mistake- and failing. The only 'mistake' that's legit, is how they added God's name in a few places in the NT- and even THAT is not a real mistake!

Now, to your first example (thank you).

1-Was Jesus speaking e-bonics? SEREIOUSLY! Even the one time when God USED the symbolic name, it was proper language.

2- IS Jesus God Almighty?; for that would be the ONLY basis for ASSUMING he spoke 'e-bonics'. (NO, he ISN'T- but THAT is why translators have DELIBERATELY mistranslated this)

3-Did you know that the EXACT SAME TERM is used often ELSEWHWERE in the NT, by Paul, and others- translated as "I am ", " I have been", "I was", "it is I", etc- but NEVER as that Symbolic Hebrew Name!? Do you think that they, too, are your "I AM"?

4- Where you aware there are NO CAPS in Koine Greek- and that translators use them there to GIVE that false impression?

Stop and THINK (NOT in CHURCHESE!):

Ex 3:14- And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said,
Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
15- And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the
children of Israel,
Jehovah,
the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of
Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you:
this is my name FOREVER,
and this is my memorial unto all generations.

(They were beginning to doubt He existed, as many today; this Symbolic
Name was to show He was about to prove otherwise)

No one prays to 'I Am', and.... Jesus was NOT speaking e-bonics.

He was simply bringing out the fact that he was ALIVE in Abraham's Day!

I KNOW, TT- we feel the same @ CHURCHianity!

I have spent 40 years intensly studying different translations, and the Bible's background- and ALWAYS prove our NWT true to any who give any example they feel wrong! I FOCUS on the Hebrew and/or Greek, the context, and the others connected scriptures- always LOOKING to see if what I have seen to be True ISN'T.

If you feel me wrong- give one example at a time, so we can look at it closely!
