  Most-Ignored Scriptures by JWs

  the watchtower has been known for over 130 years as a great scriptural cherry-picker.

  they pick out disparate unrelated verses and combine them to support the wackiest of wacky doctrines.. on the other hand there are many scriptures they almost never address, whether because they contradict wt doctrine or because they simply don't have a clue what they mean or how to spin them to the wt advantage.. one of these is revelation 19:1 that mentions a "great crowd" "in heaven.

  " the only time it is ever brought up it is dismissed.

  Bwahahahahahahahahaha! I AGREE, Casper- except that some of the prophecies are NOT a LARGE portion of the Bible at all! But you certainly ARE right- THAT is why I FREELY admit how goofy some of their ideas are!

  I sure wish you would stick to what the Bible says- instead of the misatkes of the WTBS.

  If Noah and the Flood were fiction- than so is Christ and the rest 0of the Bible. Simply is NOT true, my friend!

  Getting into Arguments with JW's...

  i'm trying to fade away, but i sometimes find myself in discussions or arguments with jw family/friends/white haired virgin elders.

  now, i usually have them beat on things but i'm not very experienced, so i was thinking if you guys could help me put together a list of completely unanswerable questions to pose to my jw friends/family/elders so they can stop bugging me.

  if i keep asking them questions they simply cannot answer, then they might leave them alone.

  NAC, you have a very warped view of it ALL; that was before "burnt-offerings" were spelled out in the Mosaic Law- and Abraham simply DIDN'T have your 'superb' understanding.

  I now understand why my brothers had a problem with you; you appear sincere, but with warped personal opinions that supercede the Bible and Reason.

  now, i usually have them beat on things but i'm not very experienced, so i was thinking if you guys could help me put together a list of completely unanswerable questions to pose to my jw friends/family/elders so they can stop bugging me.

  if i keep asking them questions they simply cannot answer, then they might leave them alone.

  OK, Casper- do you have any reference other than Opinion that sex was expected?

  And- NO; those Ridiculous Opinions of the WTBS have nombearing on the fact that Reveklation was about a far future time- as most were,

  Rev 1: 10- I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet...

  "The Lord's Day"- the Day of Fury- Armageddon was to take place at a time even JESUS didn't know- yet he said many things would take place BEFORE it came, then gave the signs that would SHOW it was NEAR. Worldwide conditions including "unless those days were cut SHORT, NO flesh would be saved", as confirmed in Revelation as he will ruin those ruining the Earth. No other time in history matches that- only modern times where man is ruining the entire Earth, and MANY things threaten his existance. John came to BE in that day "in the spirit"- in vision.

  A local flood would not generate the legends of a huge flood that wiped most of mankind out. A worldwide flood would have severly changed the landscape, as Genesis shows the waters were PULLED INTO the Earth- lowering the landscape, incresing the size of the mountains....IF it happened!

  The Bible is the ONLY book giving SENSIBLE accounts of how life started- especially when compared with all the ancient religions, and today's Evolution Theory. (NOT be be confused with the absurd church versions where man lives with dinosaurs, and they, too, were taken aboard the Ark!) It alone contains principles, that if all men followed, would end wars and ruin.

  Where theory isn't involved the Bible is CONFIRMED by Science in many cases- never contradicted.

  DD:"Why would Jesus give such a "FIRM PROMISE" to such a person who was a disgrace to God and never did any good works or went to meetings? He even admitted he deserved what he was getting."

  Mad: No details were given- so we can only GUESS! Christ judges according to the HEART, the thief WAS getting what he deserved ( I THINK!), and since he recognized- and ACCEPTED Christ, Jesus had the RIGHT to make that call.

  Jehovah 'killed' Jesus by sending him to his death. Abraham was with Issac- until stopped.

  ALL sacrifices were (are) an act of worship- Jesus worshipped his God and Father.

  Abraham OBEYING his God.

  I weary of your fanatisism, NAC, and completely fail to undestand this 'conflict':

  1- God commanded Abraham to SACRIFICE (offer up a burnt offering)

  2- Animals were never burned ALIVE, but were killed first

  3- Abraham obeyed, was about to do the same with his son.

  4- Paul wrote it was a prophetic illustration.

  No prob, Issac: I'm doing this when slurpin coffee!

  It IS borderline 'apostacy' - to the Org, NOT to God!

  The Truths; Who the Real God, Christ are, and what the holy spirit, daeth, soul, resurrection, Kingdom, purposes of God, morality, etc are.

  The Baloney; The FDS= that small group of Brothers at the WTBS, and some of their opinion on some of the prohecies.
