If you're trying to impress upon me that an apostate is a rotten human being and you are telling me “I'm an apostate” than I won't communicate with you anymore. Problem solved.

AIW, it appears that you are having trouble answering the questions I posted. You claimed to have answered the first one by cutting & pasting something about apostolic succession from the Insight book. No offense but thats totally off topic, we are discussing "Worldly Shunning". We can kick that subject around in another thread, if you like.

Also, you labeled the aforementioned questions as stupid, retarded and dull. I'm kinda of surprised that you would use a negative epithet for a mental disability. I figured you would be more sensitive to the use of that word especially since you suffer from mental illness, as you have stated previously in other threads.

Since you have avoided answering these questions, I'm going to assume they are confusing for you. I'll simplify the process, I know your time is extremely valuable as a fighter for The Truth on this forum. Below are the questions in Q&A multiple-choice formant. The practice of shunning does not apply to myself because I'm very strong in The Truth. I can freely associate with apostates, inactive family, DF'd persons in real life or on the internet without concern for my own spirituality because I have Holy Spirit guiding me. Sure, the GB strongly counsels against this type of association but I truly feel that I'm immune to any spiritual dangers that may befall a weak JW. And I'm very strong in The Truth. Besides, who will uphold Truth on this board full of vipers and apostates! Shunning is biblically based, the right course to take against those who leave The Truth. But judgment is better so I will practice it sometimes.

Unbelievable!! Family member at my leasing office!

ok...i need to vent.

i just finished writing a letter to my leasing office in regards to my own cousin.

she is a jw of course, and has lately been less than courteous with us because we are d'ad and i have honestly had enough!

I have to ride with Drew on omiting the religious angle. Let the offender explain to the manager the reason for the bad behavior. If she is bold enough to tell her manager that she is rude for religious differences, this could have bad consequences for her.

Something similiar happened on my job, loyal dubbie behaving badly toward a DF'd person. The DF'd woman complained to HR. The dubbie tried to justify her behavior, it didn't go over well for her. HR reprimanded her for religious discrimination, told her it would not be tolerated on the job. No business wants to deal with discrimination of any kind.

Put the cousin in the position of having to explain why JW-style shunning is permissible on the job and see how far she gets.

I know two dub sisters who married Nigerian men on a fiance visa. One couple, the nigerian hubby left her after a couple of years. The other couple, the nigerian hubby is racking up student loans, expensive car note, credit card bills - she's the primary bread winner. Unfortunately, the dub's are breeding ground for this type of situation because of their stance on marrying unbelievers.

okay so we've obviously established on this board that 607 is not the correct date that babylon destroyed jerusalem.

even before 1914 came around, the bible students still thought 1914 would be a pivital date.

the only way they can gain that info is from the 7 times or w/e.

sorry if this has already been discussed, i haven't been around here a lot and i have this question for any history buffs.. this summer's dc is a fictionalized account of first century jehovah's witnesses (gag), leaving jerusalem right after the first attack by rome and fleeing to pella.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/members/private/194498/1/drama-audio-only.

other than jesus "this generation" prophecy, the bible mentions nothing directly about this.

even john, who wrote his gospel and letters afterward, makes no hint of events in jerusalem during that era.
