what is interesting about that ... "turn down scholarships" .. um dont you have to APPLY for them? if they are really putting kingdumb interests first, why would they bother to apply for htem in the first place?

afaik, scholarships in the usa dont just come looking for you, at least not on teh average. perhaps some super gifted kid might get looked for but i wouldnt think that would fall in the active dub category anyways

Jehovah's Witnesses And The Paranormal

i understand that the jehovah's witnesses are paranoid when it comes to the paranormal.. how far do the roots of this paranoia go?

has anyone ever had any personal paranormal experiences or know of anyone who has (first hand)?.

and what are some of the more popular stories that get retold in jw circles?.

i used to see the most horrifying demon all the time .. then i divorced my ex ... havent seen it since .. it still goes to the kingdumb hell afaik ...

seriously though, when i was a kid, my mom was convinced i had demon attacks .. i was 7 or so .. wasnt until my late 30s and consultation of therapist that i learned about night terrors .. and lo and behold the scientific explanation was spot on

Apostates defeated once again.....

before the mentally diseased apostates could get their hands on and dissect any information regarding the convention that hadn't been released to regular publishers/elders...the society released the district program on the official site completely and utterly slaying every single demented apostate on the face of the earth.

now have fun dissecting it kiddos, while we big kids get a taste of solid, spiritual meet this summer.

how ironic, that in hebrew the word for god is actually the name of a canaanite god el.

ive recently been facinated by the etymology of word, particularly those in the bible.

anyone can change the meanings or definition of words like we have witnessed with the generation, but the word itself cannot be changed.

my name is michelle and from the age of 3 i was brought up one of jw.

my parents became witnesses whilst in germany when my father was stationed there with the british army.

we then came back to england where i lived in darwen, lancashire, and attended darwen, bolton and blackburn congregations over the next 18 years.

i've been intellectually awake for about three years now.

it's taken me time but i've figured out an exit strategy to leave the jw's as frictionless as possible.

it's impossible to leave with my dignity in tact but, leaving will be worth it.
