  I am so angry today and tomorrow isn't going to be much better .....

  last sunday a young man from our old hall committed suicide.

  his mom had been my best friend growing up and he grew up with my middle son so there is a lot of past history .

  my son now lives in another state ,but drove home as soon as he heard the tragic news .

  a good friend and long-time elder just back from patterson, asked me what i thought is he most prevalent problem elders are facing today....told him i had no idea.... he said "pornography" by far the most vexing problem for them... hard to believe, no?.

  I think that, to an extent, the porn watching is a symptom of a bigger problem. At least for myself, the way JWs are taught to think about sex creates unhealthy attitudes which makes them more (read: me) to watch porn excessively and become addicted to it, as opposed to what I assume would be the more healthy viewing habits of the average Worldy™ male.

  OBAMA WINS NOBEL PEACE PRIZE

  he couldnt bring the olympics to chicago but he accomplished this coveted award after only a few months in office.

  somebody out there sees this man as doing what the planet needs.

  perhaps.. but i for one am not as shocked as most.

  I would not say that he hasn't done anything. He is the first black president, which, whatever you may say, is a US History civil rights landmark. He also has the most foreign support of probably any president in my lifetime. Either of those could be construed as contributing to peace.

  my wife received it.. it seems quite far fetched to me but information or comments debunking it might prove helpful to me.. i tried snopes but nothing so far that was helpful.. .

  the h1n1 vaccine is made up of a long list of contents.

  You're welcome. Apparently the JW community isn't the only one freaking out. Apparently there was a report of mercury being used in it, till the FDA actually put out a press release saying that there was none.

  This rumor is even crazier than the "puss shots"... but at least its not in the Watchtower! LOL

  Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine is prepared from influenza virus propagated in the allantoic fluid of embryonated chicken eggs. Following harvest, the virus is purified in a sucrose density gradient using a continuous flow zonal centrifuge. The purified virus is inactivated with beta-propiolactone, and the virus particles are disrupted using sodium taurodeoxycholate to produce a “split virion”. The disrupted virus is further purified and suspended in a phosphate buffered isotonic solution

  i love music.

  when i was a kid, i had hundreds of cassettes where i taped all my favorite songs.. some songs would give me the chills.

  some would be so good, i'd replay them over and over again!

  This was the title song of the first non classical, big band, or soundtrack CD I ever bought. I'm not quite sure why it makes me so happy. LoL. Be warned... Its not really a "happy" song per se.

  ROFLMAO!!! Thats actually what led up to that post. We were talking in the dorm lobby about showing up at McDonalds wearing nothing but a shirt, shoes, and a smile. LoL
