  richard dawkins at a recent conference for atheist, told his followers to mock muslims and christians for their stupid beliefs!

  we have been down the path of this kind of thinking dawkins, harris and peter singer promote, it lead to the near irradication of the jews, gypsies, disabled, mentally ill and any other undesirables who were not contributing to the greater good of hitler's, stalin's, pol pot and mao's ideals.. .

  can we address the issue at hand, how would you debate peter singer's statement that a "pig is more valuable than a disabled child, human"?

  Source please, with context. There is a big difference between challenging someones beliefs and criticizing them, and as far as I've read, Dawkins has always encouraged the former, not the latter.

  As far as Singers beliefs, your quote is taken out of context and doesn't represent his actual beliefs, as cantleave's post points out.

  Also, be very careful about grouping atheists together in one lump... It's like grouping all theists together...

  my fiancee and i were discussing what rush's 2112 is.

  for those of you that don't know, 2112 is a piece, about 20 minutes long, divided into 7 movements.

  we can't quite agree on what to call it... "song" doesn't live up to the full effect, as it has more in common with an oratorio than a pop song.

  @Flying High Now: Can you suggest any more concept LPs/albums? I don't know very many... Just 2112 and Opheliac, and I love them both.

  jws hate satan's "magic", but they love and look forward to jehovah's "miracles.

  " if these things really do exist, then how is one action any different then the other?

  i mean, it's "magic" to creat life, a universe, animals, and many other countless "miracles" that the bible speaks of.

  I've been thinking about this lately, too. The miracles of Jehovah and the magic of Satan are functionally identical. The issue is the source of power. The irony is that, according to the JWs, Jehovah is a lot less giving than Satan is.

  there are too many individual activities to enumerate, but all of the extra-curricular, bad-association oriented activity that taught life skills, people skills and survival skills are symbolized by sparlock.

  scouting, ballroom dancing, exchanging valentines, sports, chess, clubs and school politics are just a few.. academic achievement is another.

  jwism undermines that, to be sure.
