I too believe that the young people today are smarter than we were and are not as easily duped by religion/ists.

Would this explain why PEW found that two-thirds of those raised as Watchtower followers, are no longer members of the apostate doomsday cult?

does a female kingdom publisher need to wear a head covering if she conducts a bible study in the presence of a male publisher?.

in a questions from readers item published in the watchtower of july 15, 2002, it was stated that a sister should cover her head if she conducts a bible study in the presence of a male publisher, whether he is baptized or not.

further consideration of the matter suggests that a modification to this direction is appropriate.. if the male publisher who accompanies the sister while she conducts an established bible study is baptized, the sister would certainly want to wear a head covering.

i know this is an extremely sensitive subject and can reopen deep emotional wounds.

How does forum moderation work?

we've had a few comments lately that show that people don't seem to fully comprehend the way moderation works or the point of it.. if someone point something that other people don't like or agree with then that is a difference of opinion.

live with it.. if someone posts something that is crude, insulting, contains bad language etc.

then it violates the posting guildelines and can and should be removed.. now, sometimes we won't immediately notice a post that should be removed.

Just a few simple rules are keeping a great balance between order and freedom.

I love the inclusivity that results from permitting a wide range of views.

JWN has been a valued and important part of my journey.

My journey has led me to believe that sectarian or religious baptism (as a member of a religious organisation) is pointless at best and dangerous at worst (read coercion and shunning).

However when the spiritual realities (relating to Jesus) are the focus, these are appropriately represented by physical baptism, whatever the age.
