does anyone remember what year the word "servant" was replaced with "overseer" as in circuit servant overseer, district servant overseer ... and up the hierarchal lineage of the jws?.

I have a Grandson!

my first grandson, and he is beautiful.

i remember so clearly thinking i would never graduate from high school in this "system of things".. .

this boy will play soccer/football/basketball/band/baseball/camp, whatever the h, e, double l, he is passionate about.. .

...and granted me strength, friends, a job, whatever...was all either through my own effort alone or sheer luck.. i wanted a government job so i prayed for one and went out looking for one every day for ages and made a heap of applications...and got one.

my own effort.. i wanted a friend and prayed for one, crying myself to sleep with loneliness.....and after 6 months in the new congregation someone reached out to me.

chance.. i prayed to be able to stand up to my family when they put pressure on me about christmas etc...my own cult conditioning so strong.. i prayed to find a nice husband...luck when i moved congregations and one of those sisters who just has to match make introduced us.

Sometimes it seems to me prayers are often answered once a person has forgotten about the prayer.

Is JW Baptism the Only Valid Baptism?

what is the watchtower bible and tract societys view on baptism?

is it absolutely essential that one be baptized to gain eternal life in gods kingdom?.

and can they tell you who you can and cant baptize?.

I would suggest that the apostate Watchtower ruling religious clergy class are totally blind to the spiritual dimensions (and therefore the reality) of baptism.

The physical ritual is merely a shadow (w52 7/15 pp. 437-445).

The apostate faction within the WBTS does promote the apostasies of "organisational salvation" and "baptismal salvation".

my mom showed me how ferocious a mind-controlled person may be.. i started talking to her about the septuagint... i don't know at what point the conversation went wrong but she just got angry and said, "well, i trust that jehovah has kept the bible intact... i want to end this conversation"... and i said, "mom, you haven't even let me finish.

Genital Mutilation - Is anyone watching this?

uk chanel 4 " the cruel cut".

in the uk in black and asian communities female genital mutilation(fgm) or destruction of the clitoris and the labia of young girls is practised.

this horror is common in the uk, it is illegal and has been for 28 years but there has not been one prosecution.. this got me thinking.

I've been wondering if the apostate Watchtower's ban on oral sex could be seen as a type of FGM since the outcome is the same for the many woman not capable of climaxing without oral sex.

even though they are christ's brothers and the new testament was written just for them, they have no say on how "jehovah's organazation" is run and the the things taught.

so it's been seven months since i moved out of my parents place and in with my (now) fiance.

they came to our door this morning and it's been a long time since i spoke to my parents.

i was never disfellowshipped because i was never baptized but there is still online limited contact.

They need you to go to their building and meeting to start the gradual process of asserting their (illegitimate) authority over you and gaining control over you.

You need this like a bullet in the head. (Meaning you really do not need this in your life).

I would not go.

Why get their hopes up - then dash them?
