I wonder if he will suggest a little "visit"?
Tell the PO that you're a little busy right now, but you'll give him a call when you have the time. Of course, just keeping up with this forum keeps a person very busy!
My best to you.
well, it has been almost three years since i silently and dramatically vanished from the world of the watchtower.
moving an hour away from my congregation's territory and not answering phone calls was all i needed to avoid having to wear the letter "a" on my chest.
but, that could all change this saturday.
I wonder if he will suggest a little "visit"?

just wanted to see if i did it right since it only took me a couple of weeks to finally do it.
hope it works!!.
moanzy
Great picture; it's always nice seeing family members, too.
Tell us, do blondes really have more fun? :-))
when i see how many hits various topics receive compared to the number of posts, it?s obvious to me how many benefit from this forum.
i know most of us skip around from topic to topic before posting, but i think there is a large number of lurkers that read but are not registered members.
sometimes it?s easy for me to forget about, dare i say, the great crowd.
Big Dog -- You're so right! This forum is very much like the inscription on Lady Liberty. That's a good analogy. Maybe we can talk Simon into adding it to the intro for the Jehovahs-Witness Discussion forum. :-)
larc -- Your reply gets me thinking about the so-called friends we had as JWs, and where are they now? True and lasting friendship goes beyond religious and political beliefs, and time does little to wear it away. I'll always remember those hours we spent together when you shared ideas books, and copied material with me. You were also there when I when through some low valleys, and climbed a few mountains.
The Witnesses do not know that kind of friendship--how sad.

Big Dog,
There was a time when that inscription on Lady Liberty was true. It's a different world today when we put folks in interment camps for months if they don't have papers, and ship them back to the place they were fleeying.

larc,
That Wright State University experience must have been about 18 years ago. I can't believe 18 years have passed since you gave me copies of various things that exposed the Tower. Remember all the cups of coffee we drank? That was before the days of the Internet, and we shared with different folks by making copies and sending suff through the mail.
Do you remember the spoof magazine I put out called, Awaken! ? A few folks actually tracked me down in order to subscribe. Those were the days, my friend. . .
an elder came over last monday to invite me over to the memorial, and i went.
i also went to the sunday meeting.
they were happy to see me, and now the elder that came over monday, wants to come over again, this time with another elder..... for those that don't know, i'm inactive since y e a r s. i go to the memorial, and usually, that's it.
wants to come over again, this time with another elder....
JH -- It's the "this time with another elder" that raises a RED FLAG!
i would very much enjoy meeting up with some of you, to just chill and talk.
as i am reading all these wonderful posts, i wish to put a face to some of these, hear other stories, enlightenments and the such.
I don't live in the Vancouver area, but remember an ex-JW in Columbus, Ohio that was active in helping exiting JWs. His name is Jack Frost (no kidding), and wondered if you are related to him? Related or not, it's nice seeing so many new members. Welcome to the forum!
this is for all of you loverly people who responded to my thread wherein i was concerned about my big tomcat, george.
remember how concerned i was that he kept rolling in the mud, especially in the rain, then traipsing indoors and spreading the mud everywhere?
we were all worried that he might have some illness that was causing him to do this?.
Maybe we could rip up a large pile of Watchtowers, and mix them in with a bigger pile of horse manure, and have it delivered to Brooklyn when the GB meets. I love the image.

But when I click on a topic and only see a few posting, but 100 or more hits, I?m grateful for the Internet, and especially the service of this forum. It's impossible to say how many have been helped by honest information about our Watchtower experience. Thanks Simon, and his many helpers?you?ve done good!
.
wonder just when this was taken.
i thought he was a bit younger looking then this: .
Ted Jaracz was our District Overseer about 25-years ago. He was a total pompous ass, and nearly everyone in our circuit hated him. He walked around like a little god then, so I would hate to see him now. It?s no wonder he was invited to be the GB pit bull! The role fits him well.
