I know there are many still active or at least going through the motions for the sake of keeping families and friends together. Walking that walk is difficult at best.
The biography section can be useful in letting others know that?s where you?re at, and it can be done without providing information that identifies you. Just because you?re not out picketing assemblies and Kingdom Halls, don?t feel like you can?t share a little, without saying too much. Many of us have been there.

by JAVA inlike many of you, i like reading threads i don?t necessarily take part in, and clicking on the profile and reading the biography.
several, maybe most, have nothing listed in their biography, for whatever reason.
on the other hand, some might not know about the biography section that?s in your profile.

Wonderlustguy -- I just returned home, and clicked on your bio. I cannot imagine growing up in a family arrangement that you?ve had, and experienced. Words can?t express what I felt after reading your account.
Thank you for sharing what must have been very difficult to write. What a story! -

Sparkplug -- When you're finished writing in Word, highlight your work and hit your copy icon. When you're back on the JW Forum, press on your handle-name, which will take you to Profile. Go down to Biography, click on it, and when you see the blinking line, hit your paste icon.
As already suggested, some started their own thread (i.e., Sparkplugs's Bio) and pasted their bios there. Once that's done, you can copy and paste that link at found at the top where it reads, http://------, and folks can click on that for your bio.
Whatever works for you Sparkplug. I like seeing the bio right away instead off following a link, but I'm lazy. :-) Thanks, and I look forward to reading yours. -

Goldminer -- I think you're the first goldminer I've ever met, and appreciate knowing that's the reason for your handle. A short bio is better than no bio at all, my friend. When you start hitting too many keys, folks stop reading.
Trevor -- Thanks for adding another bio to the bucket. I didn't know about your book, and will contack you to get a copy. I hate reading books on-line, so I'll be after a hard copy. So many books, so little time.
Dave -- It looks like you're the same loveable old cus as before. I'll bet the folks in Cleveland are still trying to figure you out. :-) You're right about Columbus, it's "nice." I met Molinda when she was teaching at Ohio State, and had to marry her before she moved to Dayton. -

Dave -- No, I'm still bipedal, breathing, and seeking food and shelter in Ohio. It's good seeing you too, but being alive is a weak excuse for no bio. We won't know if you desire a feeding tube unless you have a bio.

Brenda -- I often wonder where some of the handles come from. I walk around the college with a coffee cup attached to one hand, thus JAVA seemed to fit. As a result, students have given me a collection of coffee cups over the years; so it's nice to be remembered for something.

candid -- That's a great bio, as well as the one listed above. But you better watch out for jula71, I think he's thinking about getting disfellowshipped!

jula71 -- Great, but I kind of like the photo you're using now--it invites the evil demons into our homes!

Like many of you, I like reading threads I don?t necessarily take part in, and clicking on the Profile and reading the Biography. Several, maybe most, have nothing listed in their biography, for whatever reason.
On the other hand, some might not know about the Biography section that?s in your Profile. It?s easy to use, just click on your name, then Profile, and you?ll find the Biography section at the bottom. I enjoy reading about the various backgrounds, and think others would too.

I Made Some Placements!!!!
by DocHayes infor the past few weeks at work, i've been talking with a co-worker about my life as jw, and the doctrine.
he was fairly interested since he had studied the dubs in the past.
during one of our discussions about religion, we got on the subject of revelation.

Doc, don't forget to count the time at the coffee shop, too! If your friend is interested, Crisis of Conscience is a good read.
