  look what santa brought me!!!.

  it's a dell inspiron 6000 with a centrino mobile processor...not really sure what that means, but it sure as heck sounds cool!!!

  it was waiting for me when i got home yesterday.

  Nice laptot jojo--the Holidays arrived early for good little boys and girls. :)
  I use a Mac at home and PC at the office. I wish the JWD worked as well on Macs as it does on PCs. That's what I want for Christmas Simon--hint hint....

  The fear of "spontaneous sex"

  when i was young and single and a witness.

  i remember often the fear older people had of putting young people together alone.

  not just for dating, but even leaving them in a car while an older couple went to a return visit.

  How did you overcome the allure of Paradise? Or have you?

  i think the biggest reason someone maintains their faith in the wts is because the wts is the "ticket" to paradise earth.. how did you deal with the prospect that the "ticket" salesmen weren't totally reliable?.

  did it cause you to let go of your hope in paradise earth?

  did it redirect it to another hope?.

  The allure of paradise wasn’t something I gave much thought to as a JW, because when I really thought about it, it didn’t make sense. For the most part many JWs couldn’t figure their way out of a paper bag; how could they do any better if everything was left up to them? Unless the big J rolled up his sleeves and snapped his finger to make it happen, I didn’t see how it was going to come about with the JWs running the show.

  But Judge Jones said he had determined that ID was not science and "cannot uncouple itself from its creationist, and thus religious, antecedents".

  Thank god! We better hide this judge before King George W taps his phone calls without a court order.

  "tom cruise's faith in scientology was nurtured at a secretive southern california desert compound that catered to his needs around the clock, a newspaper reported.

  behind the guarded gates of the 500-acre compound near hemet, about 90 miles east of los angeles, cruise had a personal supervisor to oversee his studies in a private course room, ex-members said.

  the international cultic studies association (icsa) will have a conference/workshop june 22-24, 2006 at the sheraton denver west in lakewood, colorado.

  there are many topics that could be of interest, but two will focus on jehovahs witnesses.

  conflict in the lives of gay and lesbian jehovahs witnesses by janja lalich, ph.d., and child abuse and the jehovahs witnesses by william bowen and kimberlee norris, esq.

  I’ve always been impressed with the information I received from this group. My latest e-mail from them concerning the conference say, “The audience for this conference consists of former group members, families of group-involved persons, helping professionals, researchers, and others. The sessions are organized into three "tracks" or theme areas: (1) assistance, (2) research, (3) other topics.”

  WT article 1950 regarding Voting

  it must have been in the year 2000 when our circuit overseer gave a talk about voting.

  i believe this same talk was given in all congregations.

  it was several months after the 11-1-99 wt question from readers that stated that, "each one of jehovah's witnesses makes a decision based on his bible-trained conscience and an understanding of his responsibility to god and to the state.

  One of the BIGGEST LIES repeated by the Tower is that JWs have a “Bible-trained conscience.” This is a code phase that means JWs must follow every word in The Watchtower. To act or believe otherwise means they’ll be disfellowshipped.
