  They have a table at the local Walmart now

  omg i just heard this morning that they have a table set up at the local walmart, so i had to drive by.

  it is huge with two huge signs one spanish and one english of blown up pictures of some of the book covers like you can live forever and young people ask, etc with a card table in the middle and two very boarded looking people just sitting there.

  this morning was the spanish congo's turn but the walmart is in my halls territory so the english speaking ones from my hall will man it on the english speaking times i guess.

  The local Witnesses are making arrangements to do that here too. I think it's in poor taste. It takes away all the dignity they have left. But, I guess it's easy time. All you got to do is set up a table with literature and hope someone comes to you.

  The local Wal-Mart here pretty much lets anybody set up outside, but they have to be so far away from the entrance. I personally don't like groups asking for money, if I had any extra money to give I wouldn't be shopping at Wal-Mart. But, I do give to charities, but they are ones I know and trust. I don't know if everyone outside the store is on the up and up.

  But, the Witnesses plan on just sitting there and hope people come to them and ask questions.

  Thanks all. Sometimes I think,I'm a lot of talk and no action. It's always the same old issue with me. But, it's comforting to know others have been or are going through the same thing.

  Defective DVD from Convention

  my mother got the latest dvd at the convention on the history of the organization.

  and here it is defective.

  i wonder if she was the only one or many more got a dvd that doesn't play.

  I thought of trying it on the computer, but my mother doesn't know how to use a computer. So, that would mean I would be stuck watching it too. I'm sure she will borrow one from someone else,and then, get another one from the hall.

  Had any Dreams Lately you Want to Share ? What Meanings do you Get ?

  gawd- i had a crazy dream last night.

  in books i've read about dreaming- it has stated many times dreams are about " unfinished situations " in your life that are trying to sort out within your dreams.. my dream was : my son flipper junior and me were being chased by government thugs who wanted us to release some important numbers - a code we had written down.

  only problem was is this code had information that would cost our families & friends lives if these government people got them from us.

  Hi Flipper, I have a recurring dream of being someone else living in the 1920's with a husband and young boy. It's really weird. I don't tell that to too many people, because it freaks them out. I don't believe in past lives or anything. But, sometimes, I think I should make it into an interesting novel or something.

  I like how you think Yknot. But, I know the time is fast approaching when this fader is going to completely fade out.

  I've given up so much for this religion already. But, all these changes are easier said then done.

  Sometimes, I feel I have it all figured out, and then, other times I feel lost.

  Maybe I just need a vacation. That would be a nice start anyway. And I won't tell anyone when I'm coming back, so they won't expect me at the meetings for awhile.

  Thank you all. I'll look up the suggested read. It is all getting to be wearisome. But, I'm thankful for the board to sound off on, and most understand and have been there, done that sort of thing.

  It's just my personality to go the fade route, but I can't handle it anymore. I lost respect for myself. I won't write a DA letter out of respect for family. But, I'm thinking of telling everyone, I'm going through some issues and need a break from everything.

  My health is getting worse. It turns out I have legitimate reasons for missing the meetings, because my stomach is bothering me a lot of the time. And it's all wearing me out.

  What makes it even harder, is sometimes I doubt myself. I doubt the doubts I'm having if that makes any sense. Looking back, even as a young person, I would look around at school at my classmates, and wonder, what makes me so special to be born in the only true religion.

  Throughout the years, I've been weaker and then stronger, but always in the back of my mind, questioning everything. While in the ministry, my words to the householder sounded hollow, simplistic. I wanted to believe it so bad. I felt I had a relationship with God.

  Now, it is not easy figuring all this out, and taking much longer than I thought. But, again, that is my personality too. It takes me awhile to plan and organize, but once I make up my mind, it's done.

  Well, that's what is going through my mind while not attending the Thursday night meeting.

  What would happen to a JW if they were prescribed medical marijuana?

  i was just looking at the news and this just popped into my head.

  what if you had terminal cancer and were prescribed this by your physician?

  you already have a terminal disease so the thing about destroying your "body as a temple" thing is a mute point.

  This is a serious issue. But, it made me think of Bill Clinton for some reason. So the elders would probably allow them to smoke it, but they wouldn't be allowed to inhale.

  Sorry, on a more serious note, considering all the drugs a cancer patient would be taking, I don't think marijuana would be any worse. And they don't have to smoke it. There are other ways of taking it.
