Watch Tower Web Site Has No Commenting Feature, Comments Unwelcome,
by frankiespeakin inwell it comes as no surprise that the "official" watch tower web site has no place to leave a comment you can only leave your address if your interested.. can you imagine if they did have a place where you can post comments what would happen?.
i'm sure the lack luster of the wt web site is due to the fact that a bunch of old governing body member must go over it with a fine toothed comb and with all thier other business to carry out as corporation executives it is just to time consuming and lets face it these old guys just don't have what it takes to bring this organization thru the 21st century, they are too lost in thier delusion, they are fighting thier own shadow, the enemy is everyone that disagrees with them and they are so steeped in denial they don't want to hear any comment that doesn't agree with them.
they only want confirmation biased statements to read, all else must be resisted and faught against.. internet presents is very important to the wt or it should be as door to door sales will no longer pay the bills, who wants a trashy magazine when you can down load info cheaply and quickly off the net.. these delusional old guys running the wt will be the reason they go belly up.

i've never even looked at the site - it doesn't interest me....but don't they have a "contact us" where people could submit questions and comments? they wouldn't have to be out there for everyone to see, but could get back to headquarters and some individuals there would be assigned to read and respond to them.........
but.....that would be in the spirit of open-mindedness, freedom of thought, expression, etc..........hahah oh well!

What do you mean?! I ALWAYS go to the beach after service and wear long pants and button up shirts while I play a game in the sand with my family! Sometimes I wear button up long sleeve shirts too!
by Crisis of Conscience inthe wts likes to imply how jws should dress in and outside of the hall.
you always want to set an example.. so i couldn't help but share this beauty in the january 15th, 2013, study edition of the watchtower.
i always go to the beach like this!

but what if it's a nudie beach? won't they look out of place in long-pants and long-sleeved shirts?
sorry.....it's just bs.....as usual..............if a bunch of doofusses want to go play on a beach in full attire, so be it............they're probably feeling pretty damm holy and superior...........so what....it's their time in the sun..

January 2013 warns parents to resist contact with df'd children again
by stuckinlimbo insee page 15-16. full of "straw men" like:.
* do not blame yourself it is the child that jehovah blames - parents do not care whose fault it is they just want their child not to be killed by god.
* it is ok for parents to hope their df'd child returns - was anybody really asking if that was wrong?.

how sad that religion which is supposedly to make better more loving, caring, fair-minded and just people results in abandoning a basic bastion of family - that you love your own unconditionally.....

New Pattern regarding Science in the Awake
by konceptual99 inreading the first couple of awakes for 2013 i think there is a pattern developing.. they have the regular "could it have happened by chance" article on something amazing in nature but they are also interviewing a scientist who is also a witness.
this is a pretty interesting tack on a number of levels.. firstly it is sending out the implicit message that "look, this educated person accepts creation, the flood and every other account that is at odds with generally accepted science, so that should give you confidence that you are right as well".
secondly, as a magazine designed for public comsumption is suggests to non-witnesses that there are many well educated people who accept the bible.

leolaia - nick kip......i remembered the name....and googled, and came to another thread from pretty long ago apparently. i had friends who were good friends with him and his first wife.....we spent time together....he was a very interesting character. i believe his kids were with the first wife...whose name escapes me....i do know that at one point she was in trouble with the cong for drinking....don't remember if it was a df or a reproof. long, long ago..........
seems he'd be too smart to stay with the religion forever.....

back in the 40's my mother wouldn't go into a restaurant with a bar.....but she learned otherwise soon enough. i never heard of any issues with it.....except you can't stumble anyone, so if you have a reformed alcoholic in the group you can't have a drink yourself. i know of people who won't accept an invitation to another witness house if they have beer/wine/booze in the house they are so in fear of being tempted.....but that's a whole other thing.................

Satan encourages association with Watch Tower and confirms accuracy of teaching

ages ago....true story.....before we were married, my husband was extremely popular as he was making what the average window washer considered Big Money - so needless to say he had lots of invites out to eat. One occasion the group had their feast and fun....and did the typical divvying up paying the least amount possible....and when they were leaving, he left a very big tip, as the waitress had been very accomodating and there wasn't enough extra money doled out to make a decent tip.......they were all leaving and one "brother" ducks back in to the table and pockets the tip....the whole damm thing.
True story......that's how christ-like some of them are.
