  Members in Scotland?

  are there any female members in scotland out there?

  i have had messages from a couple of scottish members,and they were lovley and kind too, but would realy like to meet a lady member.

  i have a lovely girl from america who facebooks me daily and she has become a great friend and a source of much comfort for me and she tells me she meets up with a female forum member who lives near to her home and has coffee with her and i would love to be able to do that.

  I hooked up, heard my d/f announcement, great stuff, hooked up a few weeks later hear a local needs about me, mostly lies and about stuff that happened 5 years prior. Told someone how I heard about her d/f and she obviously went running back and snitched. Cant get on it now which is great really as helped enormously in recovery.

  Weird JW Dreams

  i think it's a given that most of us who have left, have had dreams about still being jw's or doing jw related things, even years after we left.

  i had one of those last night.

  it involved getting a hotel for the next district convention and then it skipped ahead to when i was attending.

  After a J/C in which I was d/fd for immorality I had a dream I was sleeping with satan, strange that two other sisters had similar dreams after being reproved for immorality.

  Another dream I had before D/A was I `m in a morgue lying on a trolley, barely alive, the morgue is filled with trolleys with dead bodies and black sheets covering them. I`m the only one with a white sheet covering me. This elder comes in takes away the sheet and rapes me. I say to myself "thats it finished its all over" and I walk away.

  My uncle has died.

  last week wednesday at about 11:40 pm, on a cold and rainy night, my uncle breathed his last breath.

  he was at hospice and he was alone.

  alone because the whole family was there the previous night saying their goodbyes.

  Dear Loubelle my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I remember reading about your uncles battle with prostate cancer.

  Sadly my own father passed away on Friday with prostate cancer and metastasis which had spread to his bladder, spine, and lungs, we only

  received his diagnosis a few weeks ago, brave wee soldier must have had it for a good few years and yet he never complained

  He only wanted to come home and be with his family who all shared in his care in the end which although sad all brought us a sense

  of joy that we could do this for him in this his last days.

  My thoughts will be with you on Wednesday, such a sad loss for you,

  My fathers funeral is this Thursday which will be a celebration of the life he had and the many lifes he had touched.

  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  As a JW - Did you See Meetings Continue in Spite of Medical Emergencies?

  i was talking the other day with a fellow board member about medical emergencies occuring at meetings and how we both agreed that we ( while jw's ) had never seen a meeting stop or be cancelled due to medical emergencies experienced by a fellow jw.

  the wt society trains jw' s to lose their authentic human feelings or any empathy towards others physical or emotional sufferings many times.

  so many times at meetings , in spite of someone suffering a serious medical emergency it was " the show must go on " type of attitude displayed by congregation elders.. my first experience at seeing a medical emergency at the kingdom hall was an older sister who had an epileptic attack.

  The hall I was in had a few that would on occasion take panic attacks and were helped and a great deal of fuss

  made over them, of course they were members in good standing. Others not so prominent left to get on with it.

  I was d/f and sitting at the back with an elderly bro who had MS and was on morphine. He was talking incoherently

  and had a glazed expression, as a nurse I knew he hadn`t been taking his meds right. He got up to go home as he

  said he wasn`t well and collapsed to the floor, I helped him to get back up on his feet and spoke to an elder and said he

  was unwell and I sat down. The next meeting I went to I was severly chastised for helping him!! Go figure

  Glad you like the Falkirk Wheel, I live quite near their never been on it seen it a few times though.

  Being the only one in the world it does attract a lot of people from all over.

  As for the Scottish fayre, if you like snickers deep fried in batter you are onto a winner, along with

  deep fried haggis in batter and black pudding suppers complete with Irn Bru our other national drink,

  good for hangovers.

  Why do I no longer get attacked and persecuted by the demons, since I left JW,s ?

  most jw.s really believe that they ( as we once did ) are promoting gods will, but what if they really are ?

  is it possible that god is supporting them even though they (governing body ) lie, because most jw,s are ignorant of the lies told on their behalf, ?.

  when i was a jw i got attacked by the demons bigtime, but not now, and i can only assume that they (demons ) are happy that i am no longer a jw and are now leaving me alone, cant think of any other reason, has god ever supported a group who were similarly found wanting ?.

  I can recall 3 sisters all pulled into j/c`s for seperate cases of immorality, they all experienced vivid dreams afterwards of sleeping with satan. At the time I put this down to the sisters having demon attack due to their sin. I now realize it was probably due to WT induced guilt, fear etc which does play havoc with ones state of mind.
