In my Da'd letter I addressed the Governing Body and asked them how THEY get to decide how many hours we (rank & file) should be at meetings, service or putting into study each week, when they lived in the WT fairytale land of no regular jobs, no bills to pay, no kids to raise, with free health care, laundry service, maid services and cooks to make and serve all their meals. I am like How the HELL do you even know what goes on in the real world and the stress real people like myself are under?? And then YOU get to decide how much slaving for the organization we have to do on top of our already tight schedules? Yeah Right! Thats when I told them to kiss my arse.

There's A Ghost At My Place Of Employment

ok some of you will laugh at this, but it's true, there is a spirit that haunts the premises where i work.. it has spoken to me once when i was locking up, it was 1 single word "hello", i looked around and saw nothing, i ignored it, set the alarm locked the door & went home.

other times i have felt something brush passed me as i have entered the building early in the morning.

the experience that got to me most happened the other nite when i was called back to the store by security, as i pulled into the drive way there was a man standing at the rear of the building, in the split second of looking away he dissapeared, there's no way that he could have run off the property in that split second.. what do you think?.

Wow, this is a touchy subject for some isn't it.

Even though I have personally had lots of unexplainable experiences in my house, I would not go as far as saying it is a ghost only because I have not seem a full bodied apparitions. I have seen a mist that looked like smoke or haze though. I know something is going on because it happens too often, just not sure what it is. Maybe trapped energy from past people living here?

I do believe some people are what is known as "sensitives", myself included. And we seem to pick up on these paranormal or unexplained phenomena more than others. One experience I had with the heavy boots walking happened when only my daughter and I were in the house. She and I are both sensitives. The walking was coming from right above us and you could see the ceiling vibrating with each step above the living room. Probelm is though, there is nothing above the living room. Not even a room! The living room is an addition with skylights and nothing above. We both looked up thru the skylights expecting to see someone up there but saw noone. This happens frequently through out the house.

Also my daughter had a sleepover in October and a young lady who never slept over before experienced the breathing on her neck. It scared the life out of her and she won't sleep over any more. I don't know if this is what a "ghost" is, but cannot explain any of this.

by the way, I have recorded the footsteps and shuffling around my bedroom when I left a recording device going and left the house. No one else was home, kids in school and hubby at work. It is true some people will not believe no matter what. I played the recording for my husband who kept saying he couldn't hear anything and then when 5 other people said they clearly heard the sounds, he confessed he did hear them but thought the noises were cars outside. Funny I didn't know cars can sould like footsteps shuffling around. He simply would not accept that "someone" or "something" was walking around our house when we are not home.

I came in abruptly one day thru the front door and think I scared whatever it was. I distinctly heard "it" running up the stairs to the bedroom. This was another time I almost called the Police but knew no one was in the house because I have an alarm system and I had activated it before going out. Anyway, above my bedroom (the room we hear the most activity in) is the attic but it is completely sealed closed. Not sure why but it was like that when we bought the home. We will be opening it up this summer so I am anxious to see if we find anything up there.

Any Comment On The Amanda Knox Verdict?

i think the verdict was not based on anti-americasim as the boyfriend was italian and was also convicted.. i think the irresponsible journalisam and charactor assasination on a persons character to sell newspapers and gain t.v ratings reflect badly on english journalisam.

i think this must have effected the thinking of a jury allowed to be exposed to such media frency.. sadly english jounalisam has been responsible for helping convict innocent people in the past.

the wimbeldon common murder and false conviction of colin stagg was a classic example.. i also remember how in america (many years ago)a au-pair from england was convicted of shaking a baby to death.

I've watched a few reports on the verdict. Dateline did one on Friday I believe, also CNN had a report. You would think if this girl had any violent tendencies that it would have been noticed before this murder. Also some say she did not like her roommate but Amanda's mom said that was not true. I think the evidence was weak. One thing that was mentioned is that she was outside the murder scene kissing her boyfriend and the nieghbors did not take kindly to that. Also when the media showed this footage, it put Amanda in a bad light, as being insensitive to the situation. Also, I am of Italian descent and our culture is such that girls are looked down upon as easy and too sexed crazed if caught kissing boys out in public. This was a big thing with my parents even though I grew up in the U.S. My sister and I were Forbidden to even hold hands in public with our boyfriends until we were engaged. This is the culture in Italy, very conservative especially with the older generation. So I think Amanda was labled right away. When I see her outside the scene of the crime, she looks totally stunned and in shock. Maybe this is just my opinion. Also the evidence was not collected properly (like the piece of bra passed around for weeks), and I think not enough evidence was there. You would think the girl who was murdered would be violenting fighting, pulling hair, scratching and gouging people, where was all the DNA evidence? Also, why is there not abundant blood evidence in Amanda's boyfriends house? And lastly, the evidence I saw with the bloody knife print on the bed not matching up to the outline of the reported murder evidence was solid in my view. Amanda Knox was tried in the court of public opinion. Lilly

The evidence was badly handled and open to cross contamination. Also it doesn't add up because this girl had no history of violence at all and seemed like a typical young person her age. I do not believe she is guilty and feel sorry for her. She definately was tried and convicted in the media. I hope she can have the verdict overturned.

No I did not believe them especially after I learned the stories given from the platform at conventions were baloney too, like onthewayout already said.

I have personal first hand experience of this. As a CO was looking for a certain experience to be given at a convention and the elders in my hall told him to speak with me because I always had good experiences in service. But I did not have the specific experience he was looking for so he had the audacity to ask me if I would "embelish" one of my experiences to make it fit the convention. I said NO. And he was dumbfounded that I would not lie for the organization. He kept saying, its just stretching the truth a little. \

When I refused to do it, another sister in our hall did it. The whole time she was up there giving her "experience", I was angry and told my hubby right then and there her experience was bulls**t and I knew it. He kept shushing me so none of the others around us heard. I was sooo mad that day.

It is quite expensive for a dictionary. I looked at a few pages on amazon but does not look too interesting unless someone really has a need to understand all the WT speak from Russell time onward. Not sure if I would have a need for something like this. Anyone here buy this book yet and have any opinions on it?

scriptural support for the triune nature of god, and the gradual recognition that jesus christ, the word incarnate (john 1:1), was and is god, can be found throughout the bible.

the evidence is abundant and unfolds like a flower, foreshadowed in the old testament and revealed in the new testament.

Jeremiah sent me a pm and he stated that while Jesus is "a god" he is not the almighty God. He is using John 1:1 to support his view because like JWs (me thinks jeremiah is a bible student), he added "a" into the text. That is because his preconcieved view is that Jesus cannot be God, for Russell says this is so.

Like you already explained John 1:1 cannot be translated as "a god" but only as "God". It was Russell who originally added into this text and Bible Students and JWs to this day continue this error.

I am asking all those like him to explain to me whether or not they are saying Jesus is a false God as the scriptures say there is only one TRUE God. By process of elimation if Jesus is "a god" and not almighty God then he must be false. So if they insist of translating John 1:1 the way they are doing, they are indeed calling Jesus a false God. Don't they realize this?

Jeremiah claimed that Jesus was "a god" but not almighty God. I am still waiting for my reply from him. I would ask everyone who believes this to be true the same Q I asked Jeremiah which is this;

If there is only one TRUE God then all other gods must be false gods. By saying Jesus is "a god" but not the almighty God then are you saying Jesus is a false god?

Also to say Jesus is not the Almighty God is incorrect because of Isaiah 9;

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Here Jesus is called "Mighty God" and "Everlasting Father", how do you explain these verses if you do not believe Jesus is God?
