  Your last statement applies both ways. It is just as hard to argue with an athiest, or agnostic that is an ex jw too. But for the record, I was a Christian way before I became a JW.

  I think we have to just agree to disagree. You are never going to make me an athiest and I am never going to make you a Christian. You keep asking me the same Q which is why doesn't God do something and the answer I will continue to give is HE IS. The river worm problem can be easily solved if the water was cleaned before it is drunk.

  wow i guess the elders still do exisist !

  i wasn't sure since they have only stopped by once in the last almost four yrs.. here is what has them all in a tissy........ i guess the lighted deer and lights on the railing screams christmas .....i was going for cheerful winter ,guess i overshot.. .

  I like your deer. I wanted one like that but have nowhere to store it. They will probably be back within a week so be ready. If they think you are doing Christmas, they will automatically DA you.

  Just because I am a Christian does not mean I have to be meek all the time. Especially when people insinuate that I am either uneducated or misinformed about what goes on in the world just because I do not agree with their opinion. You think I am a fool for believing in God? Well, I think you are a fool not to. So we will have to agree that we will NEVER agree on this subject.

  I've already sent you my email address so if you wish to discuss anything about who will be saved, please contact me there. The short answer is NO I do not believe only Christians will be saved because I believe that Christ's sacrifice is sufficient to cover the sins of ALL mankind. And just to clarify Hell, most christian churches today do not teach a literal hellfire but rather that hell is a place where you are forever seperated from God. Only those who are truly wicked and ungoldy, stubbornly refusing to submit to God even once he reveals himself to them will be sent there. The majority of mankind will be saved.

  on top of that one of my sons is bringing home a girl friend who is flying over from austria.. i'm thinking maybe lasagna.

  i'm pretty good at that, but it doesn't seem real traditional.

  the beef is so bad around these parts, i don't dare do a crown roast and besides that cost around $60.00.. what is your favorite dinner?.

  Jeff,

  I do not judge others for thier belief. I have friends who are Jewish and Muslim, also Budhist. I mean REAL friends, not just acquaintances. We discuss our religious beliefs all the time, and never argue. We respect each others path in life.

  I believe ALL MEN belong to God no matter what his/her religious beliefs towards a personal God is. I am not better then anyone else just because I choose to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. Yes, I go a little further than Ghandi and worship Jesus. You are right, Ghandi did not. I admire Ghandi and all leaders like him. I would listen to any good spiritural or moral leader who does good for ALL people. Just that my personal choice for religious faith is Christianity and that is mainly because of the Jesus of the New Testament.

  In the end of all discussions people are all the same and want the same thing; an end to all suffering in the world.

  For the poster who said evil exists because we (man) exists. BRAVO! That is the most intelligent answer given on this thread yet.

  Jeff,

  Thank you for your response. Sorry I took your comment personally. But I would like to clear this up; I am not falling back on the old "if you don't understand it, wait on God". For I DO understand why there is suffering in the world and I am going out and doing something about it. I do not feel that it is biblical to expect God to take care of all our problems. And I believe that he is doing something and has been. That is really the biggest disagreement we have. I feel God IS doing something, and you and minimus feel he is not. We can go around in circles all day long but I am not going to convince you of my view anymore than you will convince me of yours. And I think that is ok.

  I am glad you are helping people in the world. We ALL should do that no matter what our religious belief. Peace Lilly

  do you believe the bible is a "good book" with much good about it but not something that should be totally believed?.

  do you not believe in the bible at all as being "god's word"?.

  Jeff,

  For your information I had faith in God long before I was old enough to even read the Bible. So to say that only the Bible is what my faith is based upon, that is just wrong. You do not know my entire life's situation.
