this post wont resonate so much with antipodean friends but for us in the northern hemisphere yesterday was the shortest day.
i find a difference in my mood and feelings at this time of year.
i have a distinct sense of foreboding when the clocks are set back in october.
Right on 3rdson. Have a happy holiday too. It sure is great to be with friends and family and to know that the sunlight will be getting longer again. Just think, in about 100 days, it will be gardening season again. Yea, back outside!

Thanks for the article. I tell you what, it sure is nice to go to a sporting event and give our country the respect it deserves. I sure felt like a dork as a JW standing still with a distant look in my eyes just waiting for the anthem to end. Now I can almost recite the whole song and I do mouth the words as it is being sung. It sure feels good to take off my hat and put my right hand over my heart and not worry about if anybody is watching me.

Welcome and congratulations on your new found freedom. I wanted to give you a tip. If the Elders demand to see you at your home, and they call first, just say no thanks. Being just men, and nothing more, they don't even have the right to be in your apartment. This is what I finally did, and the Elders have not been back since. I suppose they and I have a unspoken agreement. I won't go to the Kingdumb Hell, and they will not come to my house.
The world is definitly better on the outside, and I am glad you have that friend that is two years older that you can turn to. Whatever you do, don't date or marry a JW, I am a man and as a former JW, a JW man is big on his headship. (POWER OVER HIS WIFE) Women are co-equals in the household, and a JW man will never accept that. It took me a long time to finally learn how to respect a woman, and now that I have, my life couldn't be more complete. Good luck with your new found freedom.

i went up to the local store and found on sale for $25 a bubble spa.
you soak your feet in warm water and let the thing vibrate your feet with bubbles all around.
