  Welcome Briand. We are all first come here seeking closure regarding a religion that has held us in bondage. Now that we are convenced that we are not in any "truth", but rather just another man-made orginization. We get the sence of "what now?" and "where do we turn", so myself, I came here. The fact is, worship god however you want, and doing good to your fellow man is all there is in my opinion. That is what I like most about this forum. Sorry about the singles group collapse. Most religions, need to have this feature if they want to survive. Again, welcome and I look forward to your comments.

  Mountainous Evidence

  nice to be back, thanks.. just before i left on about a ten day vacation a couple of weeks ago, there was a guy, rex, i think who stated in a post that there was "mountainous evidence you could use in a court of law" proving the resurrection of jesus.. i, and others i suspect, took exception to that statement.

  and i challenged him to produce some of that mountain.

  now, prior to my departure i hadn't seen even so much as one grain of sand from that mountain.

  The Infallable, Inspired Word of God

  i have often wondered, if the bible is the infallable word of god and inspired in the minds of men by the mind of god.

  then why is it you can prove or disprove just about anything with it?.

  these are the sorts of questions that cause problems for organizations that claim to also be god's spokesmen.

  Yup, that is exactly what You Know does. He follows blindly what the Watchtower tells him so he can be hard to understand, and twisting to his destruction.

  Alan Does the Twist

  it never ceases to amaze me seeing how alan's various toadies here fawn over his posts and kiss his behind up to the brown spot.

  evidence of this is in the responses to his post about ot & nt morality.. alan uses his own lack of context to twist scripture as well as any jw writer.

  a case in point is his notion that adultery and fornication are primarily related to an economic loss (with a woman as property) and not a violation of a clear moral code.

  Hi Rex,
  I don't know much about you other than you are "just another troll". Now my words. I read the post, and it had more to do with women's rights than anything. My guess is you would rather women be bare foot and pregnant. Let me guess you are a loving "husbandly owner", the society uses that pleanty. You are typical of many Jehovah's Witnesses, you can't admit you are wrong.

  Mormonism

  my only exposure to mormonism was a tour my family and i had of the mormon complex in salt lake city a few years back.

  it was very interesting and of course they have the tours conducted by young single mormon women.

  i must say, they don't look like marie osmond.
