  LET'S MAKE A LITTLE WAGER

  perhaps you recall the instance in the bible where samson made a wager with the philistines that they couldnt guess his riddle.

  as it turned out they wheedled the answer out of him by his fiancee, but the point is that they had a wager.

  since the underlying assumption of the apostasy is that we are not living in the last days of this system of things, and that this world is not facing anything remotely like the biblical apocalypse, at least not any time soon, in the spirit of such antagonism, i would like to propose a similar wager.

  Well here I set, wondering when Robert will admit he is wrong again. October has been over for nearly two months, and his predictions of doom have once again prooved untrue.

  No wait, maybe I am dead and Heaven is exactly like Earth. Same job, same house, oh no, I might be in Hell! Oh wait, I like my job and my house, so Hell isn't so bad after all.

  in the organization, we had [have] limited choices of who can be our friends.

  oftentimes, we had [have] to deal with many people we did [do] not like and pretend to be their friends.

  of course, we also had [have] to deal with people who carry a lot of baggage and it was difficult.

  How true your letter is. Often times in the orginization I had to call people friends that I truly did not like. I knew they would talk about me behind my back. And that the only way they were around me is to have something to talk about later. I have always been somebody to speak my mind. For instance if a talk was boring, I would say so. These people would here me say that and the whole Kingdom Hall would know it. Just another reason I am glad to have real friends and internet friends over those fake friends any day.

  I might suggest that you start with 'The Last Days According To Jesus', by R.C. Sproul.

  That woundn't be 'postate literature, would it? Now we can't have none of that. What woud the Society think of that?

  maybe this is just me and how i see things as an outsider: but why is it that witnesses seem to flirt, and touch, and act as horny as a cat in heat?

  is it proper for a witnesses to call a nonwitness at 11:00 at night while she is taking a bubble bath?.

  is is proper for a witness to put a white rose on a man's jeep?

  A walk Through The Garden Part 2

  i had brought my family up in the way of christ, as i believed and we were rarely missing from meetings or field service.

  yet as time went on, this regimented form of worship began to have its toll on us.. one meeting night, i found myself sitting at the back of the kingdom hall alone, my wife had begun to miss a number of meetings and my son who was then in his late teens had also stopped going.i felt that i'd failed my family and myself.

  yet no matter how i applied myself to study and prayer the watchtower's answer to every problem a witness may have i found no joy in this way of worship and neither would i continue to pretend that i did.

  i remember my dear old dad trotting this out when her ladyship and i got married in '73.. talk about a bucket of cold water!
