It could very well be about the ten wise virgins who had extra oil and the ten dumb virgins who ran out of oil. (Mat. Chapter Whatever : Verse Who Cares) Watchtower will compare all Jehovah's Witnesses in attendence to the ten virgins with extra oil and how the Secret Watchtower is that extra oil to keep them safe until Jesus the Groom arrives for the Wedding Feast known as Armageddon.

i was watching the democratic debate on tv today, well some of it, and this was one of the topics.
personally i think that it woldnt be a bad thing at all.

Plus as blood thirsty as this president is, just imagine who all we could invade with an even bigger army. We would be looking for WMD in Sudan, Iran, Syria and who knows where else.

Once upon a time people believed television would completely replace radio. That hasn't happened. I suspect the same will be true of newspapers or magazines, land lines, and the postal system. The strong will survive and the weak will fail.
when i became inactive years ago, the elders tried to visit me and talk to me, but i was able to nutralize their efforts and never answered the door or their phone calls.
i just didn't want to talk to them.. then it didn't take long for them to give up.
aftrer that, maybe once a year, they invited me to the memorial.
The elders around here are a bunch of quitters. One called about seven years ago to inform me the CO was in town and wanted to stop by, which I told him, "no thanks," and that was the last contact I've had other than the occasional greeting at the local grocery store.

That might be true if you only count the people who major in Liberal Arts, or Political Sciences. Somehow, I don't think those who become Doctors or Engineers shovel $h!t for a living.
i have heard on this discussion board numerous rules that apply to upcoming a$$emblies.
some are designed to stop people from meeting the opposite sex; others, to make sure everyone is always ready to recruit new members into the scam.
i heard that some km inserts have been urging those whose congregation has cleaning assignments to sit in the section that they are assigned to clean.
Ask Gary Buss about not being able to buy candy from a vending machine pre-1975. If I remember how the story goes, an attendent argued with Gary about his buying the candy and the next day there was a "Out Of Order" sign posted on the perfectly working vending machine. Gary went ahead and made another purchase from the vending machine for his son and once again a hot-headed attendent chewed him out.
Isolated incident, perhaps, but I bet it has happened at other assemblies.

I always thought having parking lot attendents was stupid.

do you find it strange that the jw end their prayer with, "in the name of reign king jesus, amen?".
i guess everthing has to go through jesus and that is why they ended with jesus as king.
which he is king!.
In the central states JWs seem to end their prayers this way...
"... in the name of your son Jesus Christ we pray. Amen."
I wonder why JWs don't use the name Michael. But then again, maybe they don't want to be like Mike.
