Best way to get Netflix on my tv?
by AK - Jeff ini know about roku, but currently don't think it any better than the laptop i have connected to my television to stream netflix.. i have considered a media-pc with remote or perhaps a remote keyboard and mouse.
i like the idea of the tv subbing as an extra pc on occasion - plus i would like to be able to stream other programs besides just netflix [like fancast or national geo or history or some news clips].. any suggestions beyond or in addition?.
thank you in advance.

Does the GB unwittingly endorse disobedience to the FDS??
by hamsterbait ini dont have the wt cd, so will need help on the references.. do you remember how the borg originally said that acupunture was demonic, as it posited unproven theories as to how it worked?.
so for many years, a jw would not take acupuncture treatments, if they were truly faithful.. then (and note this well) an article came out, where the writer told us about his experiences of acupuncture, and how it helped him.. in the interim no statement rescinding the previous view of acupuncture as wrong had been published by the society.. in other words, they printed an article showing that a jw had gone against current "light".. the same thing happened with kidney dialysis.. one minute the wtbts says it is wrong, then an article comes out about a co wife who had a home dialysis machine - again with no printed article cancelling the previous "light".. are they stupid, or is somebody telling us to do what we think is right?.

Hmm, could be.... I do like to give them the benifit of the doubt in in things like this.. But i do remember a lot of talk in the '80s about Dialysis... I remember it as a "conscientious matter... with the relative warning much like blood fractions now. My fater even now refuses fractions, he has always been over the top, so maybe that was his opinion I remember..or Maybe it was one of thoes things that what was said in talks was different than what was in print.

I don't see anything against either of these procedures in the material on the CD. If there was talk against it, it was probably before the 70s.

Question From Readers reveals dependent state of JWs
by sd-7 injust consider some of the questions i found, not worrying about the responses:.
***w50 12/1 p.496 questions from readers***.
in view of what deuteronomy 4:15-23 has to say about the making of any graven image, would it be considered scripturally correct.

Oh, pirata you have to tell me more. What kind of fuss could there be about caffeine?

I forgot how laughable some of these "questions" are. These are all very recent.

*** w07 12/1 p. 31 Questions From Readers ***
How should a Christian view hunting and fishing?
*** w06 3/1 p. 28 Questions From Readers ***
What did the apostle Paul mean when he stated that women should “keep silent in the congregations”?
*** w05 4/1 p. 29 Questions From Readers **
Should a Christian give a government employee a tip or a gift for his services, or would that be viewed as bribery?

You don't have to back that far to find "questions from readers who think for themselves"

Should a Christian avoid beverages and foods that contain caffeine?

Sex Offender in Court for Right to Go Door to Door
by jamiebowers inhttp://www.courthousenews.com/2010/03/10/25418.htm.
imo, this jerk doesn't have to go door to door.
he could get his time in by informal witnessing.

While not condoning his actions, this person is not a threat to the public, and I hate to see the system waste their time with it. It sounds llike they were being more reasonable than many stories you hear about the government.
This guy is just going to give the Borg another black eye.
