Did your congregation have "Talent" Shows?

we had several "talent" shows over the years in my original congregation - it was the only annual gathering more nauseating that the meetings.. my friend and i would always bring our walkmans and blare heavy metal in the back - hoping to block out the embarassing crap on the stage.you always had a few older ones get up on stage and slaughter a kingdumb song.

Excellent point Serenity....this is how feel. It has formed who I am for good and bad, it has affected everything about my life, from my friends, my education, my marriage, even when I choose to have children, to how my family treats me now.
So yes, I am going to talk about it.

Help with a question. Need W-4/1/2010
by maninthemiddle inthis question is in the now famous 4/15 watchtower in the do you rememebr section.. i want to know what the source article said, because i can hardly agree with this statement as written.
i am assuming this is in relation to the "translation" of the nwt, but it is misleading to the point of fiction.. can anyone look at the 4/1 watchtower and tell me what is says?.

Unbelievable CO Talk, scientists lie to us about earthquakes

Black Sheep, Yes, that is a CO. I don't know his age, but he is on the older side of the scale.
Zid, he really did not sound quite that bad in person, but he did sound to me like a person that was going out of their way to sound humble.
MFree.. I haven't read the book but I am familiar with the argument. I thought that they had dropped the whole earthquake increase thng along time ago. I thought they realized how stupid an argument it is.
I think we may have some deaf on the board so I wanted to summarize this clip.
a. reads Matt 24 emphasis on earthquakes.
b. says earth quakes have increades since 1914.
c. "they" don't know why (i don't know who "they" is)
d. every time he gives this talk he looks at a website and the number of earthquakes are up.
e. scientists are lying to us about the number of earthquakes and resons for increase.
f. not all scientists are liers because some are our "brothers and sisters"

What will happen if you are I.D'd ?
by wobble inmany on here are keen to hide their identity, me included, i don't want to be df'd and many of the views i express on here would be enough for most jc's to df me sine die.. anyone reading on here who knows me a little more than vaguely could work out who i am, my list of cars i have owned for example, on another thread.. but what could they do ?.
i know they could make a case, and then as happened to a young sister in a neighbouring congo.
say they would investigate why the bro.

if they could really figure out who I am then I would be disfellowshipped. I would not deny it at this point, why should I? I don't own them anything, I only have to answer to my wife and son.
Recently my mother saw this site after borrrowing my laptop, I doubt she could figure out who I was, but it forced us to confront my feelings. Luckly she is still talking to me and knows to keep it to herself. I think she knows what would happen.
