This is more a bump, but I have a question.
Determines whether to destroy records concerning a person reinstated five years if the judicial committee is unavailable or unqualified. May designate other elders to handle this."
Does this mean if the original 3 elders from the JC were still in the congregation that the record are kept longer? Or just that they are the ones to destroy them after 5 years?
"Takes note of who is missing during congregation meetings"
Does this mean we can look forward to more visits an soon as the elders school is over?

My previous post didn't work.
I can't see how this is "encouraging" "up-building" or "hearting" .... to use a few of their buzz words.
Just what part of not saving for retirement is wrong? Does everyone need to work themselves to death while trying to keep up all the meetings, etc until they step into the grave? This is what my parents are doing now, they are feeling this never having saved anything, and I can't describe how furious it makes me.

DNCALL, Although I have not seen the finished product, it will be a definite improvement owing to a more concentrated pool of talent, better supervision and the elimination of a large portion of the 1982 songbook.
About a year ago you said this, I am curious if you still feel the same after hearing the now "finished" products.

How to tell that a JW has read a book.....
by maninthemiddle ini was at a used book store recently, and ran across something that had me in stitches.. this book was on the shelf... carefully "studied", yellow highlighter graced many of the pages, their yellow marks straight as an arrow by the edge of a ruler.. i m not sure how this person was able to "study" it since it didn't have any questions at the bottom of the page.. must have been one of those "independent thinkers" .
i didn't read the book, i think i know what i need to know by now.. .
