yesterday we struggled in the ministry
I dislike this comment more than the bolded one.
How is this helping anyone?
Food shortages, diseases from dirty water, people without houses, and the best they can do is go out and peddle magazines?
this came from an email circulated a couple of weeks ago.
i highlighted the paragraph at the end about the fds, we can get in trouble if we don't follow their directions--carefully.
at this moment, friday morning, australian time, all our brothers and sisters are safe and accounted for.

how many times have you been told this in your witness life?
it was such a simple and humble solution to any problem... just go have a study with someone you trust.. they are following a common human sociological code, but they twist in along the way.. when a youth or young adult is having problems in their life.
whether that be faith or lonliness or depression or anything else it's always nice to talk to someone you can trust and love.
Thought stopping phrases:
There is no reason to have "independent thinking" as it is not for us to "direct our
step" when the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" and it's "Governing Body" will provide
"food at the proper time" as "the light gets brighter", this means we should "take in
knowledge" delivered by the "Anointed Remnant" at "the proper time" at "Christian
Meetings" where we "encourage each other to love" in "unity", this leaves no room for
"independent thinking".
It is circular reasoning at its finest.
PS: Did I get enough phrases in one sentence?
Stories like yours makes me glad that my wife and I went out of our way to help the host take care of the house.
I don't want to be remembered as one who would treat someone that that.
However I have heard similar stories to yours. Mostly it is kids, some I have wondered what their house must look like if that was hour they treated others.
i would so love to do a spoof of the kesha song tik-tok with the following words.. i don't have the voice for it so i can't record it but here are the lyrics i came up with.. maybe somebody out there can make it happen.
if you do send me a link, i would love to hear the finished product!!.
the video would be hilarious!!.
That is funny, I can hear it in my head.
Maybe you could send it to this guy, he would probably do it.
i realized that i didn't state this properly on my last post..... you always see ads in the dc arenas.
how about one that everyone will see for 3 days runnning?
no commentary, just a picture.
Mary, I have seen that done many times. I don't know the reason behind it.
Edited to add, I have also seen them unplug them.
the opening article of the new april 2011 wt starts by talking about israel abandoning jehovah.

17 To illustrate: The Scriptures at times speak of “the congregation” as taking certain action in handling judicial matters. (Matt. 18:17) In real terms, though, it is only the elders who take this action in their capacity as representatives of the congregation. The elders do not contact all members of the congregation to ask their various opinions before they make a decision. Theocratically, they perform the role that they have been assigned; they act on behalf of the whole congregation.
Is this even true? I thought that everyting was decded as a whole congregation. From what I have read "Elders" didn't have near as much power as the WTS makes it out to be.
i just received this from an old friend on fb.
i can't hang with an apostate or someone cheering.
on apostates...of course, if jw's are not your cup.
Funny thing about this is the fact that this guy hasn't did anything about the "Troof" in quite a long time
Yet they can often be the strongest defenders.
I'm so sad that this happens.

one quote:
So why wasn’t I dating Mormon men? In a nutshell, the pool is small, and people marry young, for obvious reasons. The leftovers were left over: closeted gay men, porn-addicted virgins, along with the merely awkward, uncompromising and unlucky.
