  What will the excuse be?!?

  so we've all heard the ramblings of obves and larsinger about the coming end of the world this year or next.

  i want to know what you think the exuses will be when they do not come.. harold camping is the one proclaiming may 21, 2011 as the time of the rapture and october 21, 2011 as the end of the world.

  when no one disappears on may 21st, what do you think his excuse will be?

  What world events would cause you to run back to the JW,s

  i was on shaky ground.. any major catastrophe in the world that took place, i thought.

  today i can not think of one single event.

  I have done nothing needing forgivness for. I have done nothing contrary to bible standards, you need to wake up and realize that the organization makes up "standards" that DO NOT exist in the bible. You are a first class Pharisee for calling me and many on this board worthy of needing any man-made organization. Maybe one day you will stop letting people drag you around by your wagging tongue and making you lick their boots.

  dawkins raises a point which some, if not many, theists will dismiss as irrelevant, but i am not exactly sure why.

  IMHO, Nick, the 'Personal Revelation' is the largest obstacle to this line of reasoning.

  Sorry, I don't understand, what do you mean by personal revelation?

  I think you may mean that they feel a connection to Jesus or God.

  I look at all the many gods the Romans had. They thought they had influence on their lives, not sure if there was anything "personal" going on there, but they were dependant on them, and thanked them when things went right and blamed then when things went wrong.

  I don't see anymore "proof' of their gods than Abraham's god.

  Growing up with JW parents, you certainly didn’t have any chance to learn about other religions, it was completely the chance of who you were born to.

  There was no opportunity to learn what others believed.

  i ran into a father and his 10 yr old jw daugther .

  i asked for the mag's and started anti= witnessing.

  i'm guessing the man was about 40 yrs old and ask him how long he's been a member of the wts.?

  Do you know of anyone DF for A blood transfusion?

  a large number of jw.s are df for moral reasons, so you repent and come back.. what happen when one agree to blood , maybe a parent gave permission for.

  their child.

  is this the unforgivable sin , can one come back after receiving blood.. do they feel that one sin is greater, (blood vs adultery).
