by sabastious ini recieved an awesome document in my youtube messages yesterday.

It appears that I am being hunted down (visited by two elders)
by maninthemiddle inrecently two elders caught my wife at the door while i was away.
they mentioned the need to talk to me about something on facebook.
yes, i know how facebook can be, but i choose to use it anyway.. the strange thing is, i just spent a alot of time looking at it, and nothing is publicly available, so unless a one spouse of an inactive jw is looking at it, i don't see how they were able to get this information.. anyway, that wasn't my real question.. i haven't been to any kh in over 2 years, i haven't seen the elder (24 year old) in about two years and don't even know the other (he is recently out of bethel, but older 50ish?)..

MindBlown, I'm very sorry sorry for what they have done. I understand where you are coming from, and it makes a lot of sense.
I am now thinking I will try to keep the lowest profile possiable. I think this old post does reflect a lot of the reason I asked the question.

Thank You to everyone for your responses today.

Please Post Reasons For Not Believing The Witnesses Have The "Truth" Anymore
by minimus ini see a few want to believe in the watchtower's view of bible prophecy, scriptural understandings and the view that the "anointed remnant" dispense the "spiritual food at the proper time".. how would you refute those views?.

MindBlown.... .when it comes to not having contact with your mother or others......and let's say someone else in you'd never expect to become a JW in your family that you really love. .
I have thought long and hard about this, I have a small child, if I were to continue to try to hide I would not get to take him to birthday parties, decorate the house, trick or treat, etc. I don't want him to have to lie to his grandparents becuse they don't want to hear about what he got for christmas.
I want to teach him that it is important to "be yourself", even if that does sound cliche, there is something to it.
If the family wants to be the "bad guy" and give him a reaason to hate the JWs and religion in general, then that will just have to be their choice. My first prority is to him and to see that he has a normal childhood, not screwed up like mine.
Mickey, that definitly ran through my mind. This is what I wrote on another post today....
what happens to many, myself included now, is like having an employee file a harrasement complaint after you leave and the company tracking you down and threating to fire you?

Dang Mickey you beat me to it.
But seriously, somewhere in the middle, laws are useful. I think the US is to far past the middle right now.

trueone, what you say about them thinking they have absolute truth is the reason I don't want to waste my time write any letter, or going to any meeting. i know there are thoes that hoped to make a difference by going to a JC to talk, but I don't see the point for this reason.
There is nothing you can say that they don't already have an answer to, when you have absolute truth you tune out and don't think.
I have read and I am familer with CCMC and it still amazes me so see it in action.

Thanks for all the replies, I appreciate it.
Leavingwt, Let's say they disfellowship you: Bravo! Badge of honor
I hadn't thought of it like that, thanks, I like it.
Sab,
I had not thought of it like that since publicly the announcement is the same, but I guess what the elderetts hear may be different and probably would get around too.
trueone, I like that, If I get cornered and have to make a reply that sounds good.
I feel that Undercover’ s approach does not define a line, and they in their misplaced sense of authority will not see it unless you clearly spell it out. However it is polite, and that is what I want.
Speaking of authority, something else to share...when they were speaking with my wife they said they called a nearby congregation and they did not know us , and they asked if we had asked anyone to move our cards. My wife was honest and said that no, we hadn't and know the local congregation still has them.
When she told me this, I had to explain the reason they wanted to know if our cards were still supposed to be on file with them, is to establish their authority. One they did that, the questioning started.

Catching the Manipulation in Sundays Watchtower Article
by Butterflyleia85 ininspired by many on jwn board, my goal is to every sunday study the article and find the manipulative parts.
if you would like to join me that would be great!
we can then find them together and then find what the scriptures or insights truly means with research, our own understanding, or maybe how it should be interpreted to ones self.

Yes we don’t want to numb ourselves to what is wicked and horrible but we don’t want to be ignorant to what is out there and what we can learn from them.
And they wonder why so many of their kids explode when they leave home and enter the real world.

You are correct that someone had to have seen it, I would love to know who because I have no one as 'friend" anymore that is a JW execpt for one inactive one, hopefully he is not being lying to me.
Of course there is no way they would ever tell me how they found out, I just wish I knew so I could plug the hole. Oh, now that I think about it, my mother confronted me with something that was on my public profile on facebook recently, and I know that she wouldn't know how to find it herself, so someone had to have shown it to her, of course, she wouldn't say who.
Leavingwt, I have a question for you..
I don't feel that I have anything to lose if told them I wanted to DA. I know that you often say not to do that. If this comes down to the point that I WILL be Disfellowshipped, I would rather it be on my terms just so that I know what will be written on my record, but on the other had why should I care?
What is your opinion?
I guess because I feel manipulated otherwise by people who I thought were my friends. Not that i didn't expect this at some point, I have been realy careful.
