Children like to tell the truth....short conversation
by maninthemiddle init is clear that the granparents have been having conversations with my 4yo.. yesterday we had a conversation you will find funny.. him: santa is invisable like jehovah.
me: who is jehovah?.
him:he made the earth.

Got a couple of questions for an Electronic Engineer.
by Voices inalright...so i have a motor (very small air freshner size) that i took apart from the circut board and also the battery source.
i took the positive and negative wires that are connected to the motor...and took out separate battery wires ...of positive and negative.
i sourced them together.

You can use what is called a double pole switch, it closes two circuits at the same time, it will have four terminals, one for each contact.
If you want a switch that only works when you push it that is called a momentary switch.

Elder father sent me an email about Feb 2012 WT - my resposne
by TheStumbler ini'm not sure if any of you will remember but i posted on here six months ago about a correspondence i was having with my dad, an elder, about who would die in armageddon.
i was asking some tough questions about children being killed in armageddon and i could tell he uncomfortable with the answers he was giving.. i drafted an email in resposne to his email but in the end i decided not to send it in the interest of maintaining friendly relations.. .
last week, out of the blue, my dad sent an email link to the february 2012 watchtower article about armageddon and said it would answer some of my questions.. here is my response which is a critique of the feb 2012 wt article and some of the broader ethics concerning 'armageddon'.

The most amazing this about this letter to me is that they couldn't sign the letter with a proper name. It is a personal letter, talking about a very personal matter between Ray and the GB members in the meeting, yet it is still so distant and cold.

Incredible document on the Watchtower and cognitive dissonance

the person giving it told me it was the best description of the experience he had went through which involved entering and exiting the watchtower over the course of only a few years.. .

It appears that I am being hunted down (visited by two elders)
by maninthemiddle inrecently two elders caught my wife at the door while i was away.
they mentioned the need to talk to me about something on facebook.
yes, i know how facebook can be, but i choose to use it anyway.. the strange thing is, i just spent a alot of time looking at it, and nothing is publicly available, so unless a one spouse of an inactive jw is looking at it, i don't see how they were able to get this information.. anyway, that wasn't my real question.. i haven't been to any kh in over 2 years, i haven't seen the elder (24 year old) in about two years and don't even know the other (he is recently out of bethel, but older 50ish?)..

MindBlown, I'm very sorry sorry for what they have done. I understand where you are coming from, and it makes a lot of sense.
I am now thinking I will try to keep the lowest profile possiable. I think this old post does reflect a lot of the reason I asked the question.

Please Post Reasons For Not Believing The Witnesses Have The "Truth" Anymore
by minimus ini see a few want to believe in the watchtower's view of bible prophecy, scriptural understandings and the view that the "anointed remnant" dispense the "spiritual food at the proper time".. how would you refute those views?.
