we also used little rewards for using the toilet, like M&Ms, or other candy.

What was successful for me, don't use training pants execpt for bedtime, make wearing "big boy" underwear a privledge he wants, and he won't want to mess them up. But then you have to take the accidents with it.

by DATA-DOG ini am just curious, and not judging.
if you are a christian and you know that december 25th is not jesus' birthday, and may have pagan roots, then why celebrate it?
i was raised a dub as most of you know, and have learned the ttatt so i know how wrong they are about a lot.

What about the bible?
by Strawberryfieldsforever ini was remembering a conversation i had recently with my mom when she was still talking to me.
i asked her why the jw's keep getting new light on different teachings.
she told me that man is imperfect and needs to be corrected by jehovah time to time to get the teachings right.. well, i started thinking......man was imperfect when he wrote the bible, right?

Some time spent reading how the bible came to together, who actually wrote it, and what language experts have to say will be a real eye opener for you.
I suggest you start with karen armstrong's a history of god, then Richard elliot freidman's Who wrote the bible.

The *new*, new iPad ... will the iSheeple feel 'had'?
by Simon inso apple just released the new new ipad ... almost 2x the performance in cpu, gpu, wifi, lte etc.... makes me wonder, is that the reason that the last ipad didn't get a number?
they must have known and already been working on this version as the 'proper' one but some pieces of tech weren't ready so the last one was a stop-gap release.
if so, i wonder how the isheeple will react once they wise up?

Is that Ray franz that used to post on this board or is that just PMs? What was his user name?
It is wonderful that they have been able to keep this board running so long. 12 years is a long time in internet years!

No wonder it's iron and clay mixed...
by konceptual99 inhttp://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-19929249.
i really didn't realise that words like "row" and "frock" are not common in the us.. glad to see "autumn", "queue", "numpty", "muppet" making a splash over there.. even "chav" and "innit" are being used apparently.. hey all you irish/scottish/welsh/english posters, what other words should our friends over the water be using?.
wassock, fathead, plonker are three off the top of my head..

Loelaia said: That gives me bad memories of the time I was staying in the Midlands and I decided to walk to the local market and, it being Britain, there were nothing but hedgerows alongside the street, and so I had to walk in the road, and I was freaked
I get freaked at the thought of you not remembering something.

They're on to us!
Just received this from our friend who attended the AGM:
The Annual Meeting was fantastic. The notes that were sent to you were correct, however one thing was mentioned by Bro. Morrison and it was that the Annual Meeting should not be distributed by email, blogs or any internet sites. It should only be to encourage others. With that being said, the notes have been circulating in many forms. Next year should be a little different since many English speaking countries will be able to hear the Annual Meeting at the assembly halls, etc. All will find out about it on the pages of the Watchtower or Kingdom Ministry. -

No one over "there" seems to be botherd by it. As many of us already believed.
WOW!! This is big stuff, exciting stuff! Thank you for sharing.
It makes a lot of sense and will be much easier to explain to our Bible students. --- I have been in the truth for 64 years and everytime there was a refinement it always made things better to understand. Instead of the silver, Jehovah gives us gold. Awesome! -- The new light completely makes sense. I have had discussions before where the idea that all anointed were the faithful and discreet slave actually just didn't make sense. Many of the anointed were/are humble members of a congregation. The dispensation of spiritual food that they do is really just the same as what the other sheep do. They preach from door to door just like many of the other sheep do and really are not involved any more than regular members of the congregation. This new light is so much more explainable and teachable. -- I`m very excited! Now I have something new to drink at J’s table.
I know that Jehovah’s celestial chariot moves with lightning speed. But when we receive new understandings, I feel how the earthly part of Jehovah God’s organization is likewise on the move. And that makes me feel SO GREAT! -- The new explanation regarding the FDS makes SO much more sense, and is strong evidence to me of Jehovah's spirit guiding these brothers. Opposers will try to paint this false image of the Governing Body simply being tyrants with absolute authority, but that is SO not the case. -- I have met a couple of ones on the GB. They are so humble that no one in their right mind would even think that they were tyrants or haughty in mind, thinking that their word is IT! That is one of their qualifications to be a part of the group. They do not foist their own opinions on the group, as the notes from the Annual Meeting brought out.
