I'm sorry you went through that, but I think your response was great.

I wanted to punch this elder so bad!
by OneDayillBeFree inso i decided to attend the meeting last.
since i haven't gone in about 2 weeks, and i leave as soon as it ends, and elder decided to corner me at the end.
lately i've been through some very depressing family issues that are non-jw related so i haven't been my best at acting like i care about the org.

Memorial Hell
by thecrushed intoday has been one of the most aganizing days since i woke up.
my family has been pressuring me to show up at the memorial for the past week.
it became very intense today with my dad texting me constantly to get me to confirm and when i didn't answer he would call my wife and then she would constantly nag me to answer my dad and so on and so forth.

I like to think this is true.
My wife drove by the community center where our old cong was meeting. She says the parking lot was sparse.
Just like you friend this was the early and only one for the area.

by Bob_NC init's not too late to get this request out there.
please please, if you can muster the courage to be different, would you drink the wine and eat the bread tonight?

warped logic from the memorial talk
by why144000 inspeaker said we should not partake because when jesus arrives he will take the remnat to heaven and the memorial will be no more.
just as we will not partake then (because the memorial will not exist) it is only logical that we will not partake now.
warped logic at its finest!.

Memorial and Time Zones
by pixel inlooking at this thread by winstonsmith, http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/beliefs/249671/1/notes-from-2013-memorial-talk-appreciate-what-christ-has-done-for-you.
made me think, how is the memorial celebrated in different parts of the world?
do they all fall on this year's march 26?

Also talking about being pickey, I never got a good answer. If nisan 14 lasts until sundown the next day, then why stuff everyone in to one night, why not have a second meeting the next day before sundown? I got some bs argument about the meal being after sundown, but then I brought up the time zone difference and it was already light in Isreal, so aren't we already too late.
Just one more question that gets met with a stone wall.

Pixel, that is the point I never understood. They calculate the date by the moon as seen in jerusalem (?), that is the reason they are off a day most of the time. But if you are going to be that picky then you should do it when the sun sets in jerusalem, not in your time zone.
