  I really doubt they are getting the affiliate program, sending traffic to the main url is not within the rules.

  however, I love Plex, and hate apple. I've had a first gen Roku for a while and want a Roku 3....so.....

  Are Witnesses Allowed to Read Bible by itself

  i've been away from the boards so long that i had to create a new account but recent events have brought me back - i've missed this place!

  anyway, i heard a former witness being interviewed the other day that said the witnesses were now being highly discouraged to read the bible by itself (without wt literature) on their own.

  this seems over the top even for the witnesses.

  someone please tell me how or if i can find proof that the rumor [that is pasted below] that was posted by a friend [still in, but should know better] on my face book page is false, [which of course we all know it is,] this makes me so angry, i have to stick my neck out and comment on this post but need something to back me up....anyone want to enlighten me where this got started?

  i need proof he never said such a thing, it seems to me its false.

  acts 15, along with the fds parable, are the basis for the existence of the modern day gb.

  it is not difficult for anyone who is beginning to study the bible with jws to see this and be utterly convinced of the matter.

  even after learning ttatt i had a hard time departing from the idea that a centralized body of administration may have existed then and may need to exist now.

  Since we don't know what really went on, we have to make a few of assumptions. I don't disagree with yours. In fact I think it was stronger than that. Paul did not like to be challenged, just ask Peter. he went there to invoke changes, not as a person asking permission, but one kicking butt and taking names.

  -- suppose a married gay couple, or even one of the partners, starts studying the bible with jws and decides he wants to baptized?

  would the jws require him to get a divorce?

  i'm so tired of seeing this crap everywhere.

  The law does NOT say that Churches, religions, or clergy has to perform, accept or condone same sex marriage. Only States. You know chruch is still separate from state, right?
