Demonstrations From the Platform

good evening, all.... still relatively new here so if i'm posting about a topic that's already been run into the ground, i apologize.

but i just wanted to acknowledge the typical "demo" we all see at meetings, assemblies and conventions.

even back when i was a good-goody teen dub, my brother, friends and i would jokingly refer to demos as "5-minute illustrations on how to say 'no.'".

At least the kids won't find the magaizne hidden in my dresser again...and I could even password protect it so the other elders won't go through the history like they did to Bro Seems To Be Hidding Something, when he went to the bathroom break at the the KM school.

I sure wouldn't want to them to find the kind of stuff they did on his phone....I'll have to think of a good password..1914...no, to many people would guess that.....how about 1975..no good witness would think of trying that.

Actually Zid the OP is correct, technically there is no physcial conection from beginning to end, all transformers work with induced currents, not coppper to copper connections.

Large CMEs do send enough plasma to break through our ionosphere.

The National Academy of Sciences report states: “A severe space weather event in the US could induce ground currents that would knock out 300 key transformers within about 90 seconds, cutting off the power for more than 130 million people.”

Interesting Experience...

so my girlfriend and i were walking to the post office and this really quiet guy comes up and comments that he likes my shirt (black shirt that says "lucifer" in white text).

he then goes on to say that he's a monk and wants us to have this "free" book on meditation.

my girlfriend is big into meditation, so she's like "okay" and starts looking at it, and then he tells us that he can't give it to us unless we make a donation so that they can pay to print another book.

i was listening to this talk, and he sounds really bitter and dry.

there is some humorous experiences (he laughs a lot) at the beginnging of it, then.

he starts to talk about apostates, sensationalism .

speaking of pride... looking at the orgional greek it means to smoke, to be wrapped in smoke, i can;t see you clearly and you can't see me clearly, you have three elders sitting there teaching you and you are wrapped in smoke, walk out of the room like "dummys!".. sit in the kingdom hall and the bird catcher says ohh, i'm going to take you out..but I going to use you for a little while first, to discourage and disrupt as much as I can. it's happened tpo elders, sometime they have got a lot of privledges and they start acting like they deserve it and they start mistreating people.

here are a few notes for people who can't listen to it, I wish I could type better I would do more.

BrotherDan, regarding the Slave comment, could he have meant to speak of Paul saying he was a Slave of Christ, not, sure, i didn;t catch it clearly, I will go back to it.

I like how Silent Lambs get a mention by name, that is a small plus. "someone who used to be in writing", was that a jab at Barbra Anderson?

Funny though, he hits everyone of Steve Hassan's BITE items during this talk.

Remember the "too busy to sin" comment?

I love how a couple of times he slipped and said "you" or "your" instead of "we".

I think he said what he meant.

i highlighted the paragraph at the end about the fds, we can get in trouble if we don't follow their directions--carefully.

at this moment, friday morning, australian time, all our brothers and sisters are safe and accounted for.

"You need to go through a study"

how many times have you been told this in your witness life?

it was such a simple and humble solution to any problem... just go have a study with someone you trust.. they are following a common human sociological code, but they twist in along the way.. when a youth or young adult is having problems in their life.

whether that be faith or lonliness or depression or anything else it's always nice to talk to someone you can trust and love.

Thought stopping phrases:

There is no reason to have "independent thinking" as it is not for us to "direct our

step" when the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" and it's "Governing Body" will provide

"food at the proper time" as "the light gets brighter", this means we should "take in

knowledge" delivered by the "Anointed Remnant" at "the proper time" at "Christian

Meetings" where we "encourage each other to love" in "unity", this leaves no room for

"independent thinking".

It is circular reasoning at its finest.
