nor am i going to assume you know the bible because none of you do.. and yes, im speaking down at you all because you men have actually went out your way to make a site to speak down at an entire group of people.

I had a fantastically spicy lamb curry last night but by accident it was served to me with coconut rice!

Since the place we were headed to was closed on Mondays, we diverted to what I didn't know was actually fast food.

It's called Pollo Loco, this is the first one I've seen, I heard they are common in Florida.

Wow, was it good, for only 6 dollars it was a great piece of citrus grilled chicken.

Sometimes you think you know where you are headed but when you find out you are on the wrong road you have to find yourself a new destination.

Conti Appeal Preview - Oral Argument Jan 14

with hopefully a good deal of interest here in the conti appeal tomorrow (or later today, depending on where you are), i thought that on my ride home from work tonight i'd preview what to expect and what i think the key issues are for any who are interested.

i have had a busy few weeks and haven't had time to read everything, but i had some time to look at the appeal briefs during my work commute the past couple days.

it'll be interesting to see what develops out of the network news coverage of this case.

I sure hope ABC recorded this. even of the WTS gets a new trial, this exposure, arguing they didn't have a obligation to report, will look terrible to the public.

Is Watchtower's stance against education only for North American witnesses

i was reading on a european ex jw forum where some feel that watchtower's railing against higher education is primarily for north america issue.

this is due that many in usa and canada leave home to leave on campus.

it was mentioned that many young european jw attend universities and its not frowned on.. i found this odd because i heard what morris and losch said about education in italy.

It is not just about living on campus. once the listen to this recent broadcast it is clear.

Something that stuck me....These are the same "experiences", if you will, that he has told in other recorded talks.

So that tells me he knows of THREE times going to university has caused problems. Out of 8 million people he should have HUNDREDS or THOUSANDS of examples if it is truly as bad as he wants to make it seem.

she asked "why did you do that?

Vidiot, funny you say that because I stayed away from evolution. I felt that the reasoning used by the society was not right, even though I didn't know about the misquoting. I didn't fell that I knew enough.

I would say that in my later active years, I even may have believed in the catholic god guided type of evolution. The science made too much sense.

Yes, but one stands out, probably my awakening moment.

I often shared conversations about religion especially the differences with a Mormon coworker.

He asked me about birthdays, and after I gave him the "company line" on why birthdays were bad, it immediately hit me like a ton of bricks, just how stupid that argument was.

The more I tried to argue, the worse I sounded to myself. That was the moment i let myself research other opinions.

just out of the blue i asked my wife whos been a jw for some 30 odd years can she explain the overlapping doctrine.

she said to me she never heard of this and said she will have to look it up.

i thought oh s#^%!.

It's cruise control of the mind, most dubs go to the meetings, can defend things that are in the book they studied in, ie, "live forever" or "god's Love" but anything newer gets missed.

Many JWs couldn't explain doctine if they needed to, it's just such a shallow understanding and a repeating of sound bites with no real concern for what they mean.
