There is an assembly hall in South Carolina USA which sits on 58 acres.
Is this Orangeburg? I would note that is a very rural area.
75 acres anywhere near Atlanta is a big deal.

Sliced, I think I was mentally awake by the time of our first assembly in Conyers. I was flabbergasted how ugly it was. Have you ever seen the Plant city Florida Hall? I was young when it was built, but it was my standard of what I expected. When they built Conyers, it was conceivable to me that they would build the hall without indoor or sufficient seating for lunch then tell us not to eat at our seat.

Orwellian change of the history(Again)
by Ray Frankz inwell, this month's jw broadcasting had a curious piece of history class.
samuel herd was there, but i don't remember if it was him that presented it.
the theme was "how it was to be a jw in the years 1900.".

The started using this phrase in the late 1930's. This phrase was a topic of a lecture given by Rutherford in 1938 and is heavily used in the book Religion released in 1941
Which was well after the Millions campaign was over, right?

When did they stop using the "religion is a snare and a racket" phrase?

Here is the car, I think I've seen pictures of this car at an international convention.

Another day, another cart
by Anony Mous ini was standing at a red light and i noticed the little cart standing there.
they're barely noticeable and when i continued there was apparently someone on the other side of the street too.
the only problem, the location is a very busy intersection which has virtually no foot traffic and they're hard to see to begin with, as you can see from my vantage point i couldn't even read the cart and three people next to them on this side and two of them on the other side.. .

I saw two carts along side a road that get practically no foot traffic. This is a driving suburb, they were outside a pharmacy, but facing away from it on a side walk that ends in the tress just few hundred feet away. The only chance they would have is people who drive into the pharmacy then walk back to the sidewalk.
This is just proof that it is busy work.

Wife and I discussing "The Path"
by StarTrekAngel inmy wife and i have been watching the tv show "the path".
we are caught up to the latest episode and we have began discussing the parallels (or the lack thereof) between the cult portrayed in the show and the jw.
would you help me trace some more that i may be overlooking?.

I see more parallels with Scientology, especially regarding the rungs.
but yeah, Still plenty of things similar enough to the JWs to make me uncomfortable.
Especially with the teenager was trying to defend the movement to his girlfriend.

Long shutter times do that, it's someone walking by the camera during the exposure.
